DOMINION 2.09 – ‘House of Sacrifice’ Here comes the Devil!

The Prophet holds his cards close to the vest and Michael devises a possible way out. Texas Hold’em. The two agree to settle Michael’s fate over a single hand of cards and really with all the clues the guy was dropping we should have realized who the guy was. Michael may have won the hand, but the war is another thing all together!

Gates and Claire scramble to contain the situation with the rebels. However, Alex is completely unimpressed. The two men do everything but break out a ruler in trying to impress each other and Claire at the same time. I’m sure it smarted when Claire chose Gate’s plan.

Gates and Alex unhappily unite in taking down the rebels at the nuclear plant, but we’re not home yet. The reactor is in trouble and Gates knows the only way to solve the problem will involve his death. For those of us who remember the parallels between Spock’s death scene and Gates was uncanny and hurt almost as much!

Edward! My what pretty eyes you have! No matter, Edward is just happy to have his Clementine back. Sadly their reunion was cut short by the boss! GABRIEL is BACK! All hail the king! Gabriel asks the newly healed General to lead his army, but is refused.

Gabriel is not to be denied, and has no trouble finding out how to push Edward’s buttons. Clementine is the Easy Button. When the archangel slits his beloved right before Edwards eyes the tide turns and a new General rises. Gabriel does tend to get what he wants and throws the most beautiful tantrums in the process.

David is reunited with William aka “The Chosen One” and is beside himself with fear. He tries unsuccessfully to convince baby Whele to leave. The trouble is, William actually believes the words he’s spouting.

The Devil always did like his little games and boy, did he play us in the process! Even Michael was uncharacteristically dumbfounded. All this time the brothers were trying to get God’s attention and Lucifer answered the call!

Observations and Questions:

• Holy Mother! The Amphora is released!

• I can’t think about the goodbye scene with Claire and Gates right now. It’s too fresh.
