The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

By  |

It has been quite a while since I have done an installment of this, what I hope to be a long-running, article series, but it seemed like a good time to get back in the groove.

As I have done for over two years now, I focus on actors who are well-known all over the world, going back to the first time I ever saw their face.

Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt:

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: He got his first big break on the acclaimed TV series Everwood where he played Bright Abbott alongside Revenge actress Emily VanCamp, Rookie Blue star Gregory Smith and well-known actor Treat Williams…

OF COURSE, he rose to fame in last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy and this year’s Jurassic World but he also made people laugh playing Andy Dwyer on the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. He will be seen in the sci-fi flick Passengers, the remake of The Magnificent Seven and the upcoming sequel to Jurassic World.

Jaimie Alexander

Jaimie Alexander:

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HER FACE: She joined the cast of the fan favorite ABC Family series Kyle XY during the shows second season playing Jessi XX, the female counterpart to Kyle…

OF COURSE, it was a few years later where she joined the Marvel Universe as Lady Sif in the first Thor movie and has gone on to star in the follow-up film Thor: The Dark World. She has also appeared in several episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and will be seen in the third Thor movie set to hit the big screen in 2017. She will also star in the new NBC drama Blindspot this fall.

Chadwick Boseman

Chadwick Boseman:

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: While he guest starred in episodes of Third Watch, CSI: NY and ER (among others), he got his first big break on the ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights…

OF COURSE, he has appeared as Jackie Robinson in the box office film 42, James Brown in Get On Up and the football flick Draft Day. He will soon be seen in the films Message from the King, Gods of Egypt, Captain America: Civil War and Black Panther.

Jon Bernthal

Jon Bernthal:

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: He appeared in the short-lived series Eastwick, the small screen adaptation of The Witches of Eastwick alongside Rebecca Romijn and Pretty Little Liars’ star Ashley Benson…

OF COURSE, it was his turn as Shane Walsh on The Walking Dead that put him on the map. But he has since appeared in the box office films Snitch, The Wolf of Wall Street, Fury and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. He will be seen in this fall’s We Are Your Friends and the second season of the Netflix series Daredevil

Zachary Quinto

Zachary Quinto:

THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW HIS FACE: He may have gotten noticed on the cult favorite series Heroes, but it was his guest role on an episode of Touched By An Angel, Charmed and a season of 24 that caught my attention…

OF COURSE, it was his role as Spock on the Star Trek franchise reboot films that has garnered the most attention; and he has appeared in American Horror Story, The Slap mini-series and he will be seen in next month’s Hitman Agent 47 alongside Rupert Friend.
