Killjoys – 1.05 ‘The Harvest’ John looses and ear & D’avin gains status!

Meet our newest Killjoy D’avin! His in! And what do you know? He’s a Level four and outranks John!  All that remains is passing the psyc eval! Thankfully the elder brother finds a doctor for the task at the local bar. How convenient!

D’avins new doctor friend agrees to pass his psyc eval in exchange for his protection while she picks up supplies. The doctor for her part, is clever, and quickly discovers D’avin’s battle brain disorder. She catches the elder brother in a rare honest moment and he reveals a clue as to what he is searching for. He is looking for answers from a certain female military doctor.

John is struggling with his bothers newly minted Killjoy status and decides to take on a new job to prove his worth to the team. He joins a harvest team in search of an awol Vincent. Dutch and Jacoby travel to Leith for Harvest Fest. He poses as a worker and Dutch as a potential buyer. It doesn’t take long for us to discover our girl has the better end of the undercover deal especially when one of the workers head goes boom!

We all had a feeling the “ear tagging’ incident would go badly for John and were correct! John quickly befriends one of the workers courtesy of Dutch’s chocolate and convinces the worker to lead him to Vincent. There is however, a small catch. The ear has to go!

Johns sacrifice paid off when he located the errant Vincent.Thanks to some quick work form Dutch and D’avin, he escaped just ahead of some lethal ‘deforestation’ efforts on behalf of the authorities!
Thankfully, John was reunited with his ear, the warrant was served and D’avin got his pass!

What happens now that the newly minted trio is complete?

Observations & Questions
• Loved the honest moment between Dutch and John. “You are irreplaceable to me.” Everyone needs to hear that at least once in their life!

• Who is the female military doctor?

• Honesty is a one way street with Dutch. It was interesting to see John be okay with it.

• I need some combat training from Dutch!
