More Outlander Season 2 Casting
More casting news has broken for season two of the Starz period drama Outlander (albeit not the two most wondered about roles that of Roger and Brianna).
Here are the new casting announcements:
British actress Rosie Day (the mini-series Homefront) will play Mary Hawkins, the daughter of a minor baronet and the niece of Silas Hawkins. Mary is engaged to a member of the French nobility (who struggles with a nervous stammer) and finds herself being used as a pawn in the power plays of her elders.
British actor Andrew Gower (from A.D. The Bible Continues and Being Human) will play Prince Charles Edward Stuart, the young heir to the exiled Catholic royal dynasty, who is plotting his epic return to the throne.
Young French actor Romann Berrux will play Fergus, a young French pickpocket who becomes incredibly loyal to Jamie and Claire (series leads Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe).
Renowned French actor Dominique Pinon (best known in America for his role in the box office film Amelie) will play Master Raymond, a small kindly apothecary who is also a mysterious healer with a great deal of knowledge regarding secret matters, both political and occult. He forms a special bond with Claire.
Outlander is anticipated to be back with season 2 on Starz sometime in 2016.
Filming is currently underway on the second season.
