June TV Calendar

The following list provides the dates of the returning cable and major network dramas as well as new cable and major network dramas, made-for-TV movies and mini-series that will air during June:

June 1 – The new ABC drama The Whispers debuts at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Someone or something is manipulating children to accomplish the unthinkable. In the country’s center of political power, Washington D.C., several kids have been talking about their imaginary friend. What the parents don’t know is this friend is not as imaginary as they assume. And when the mysterious games they play turn dangerous, FBI child specialist Claire Bennigan (Lily Rabe from American Horror Story) is called in to investigate. The cast also includes Barry Sloane (Revenge) and Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes).

June 1 – The Lifetime series Devious Maids returns for its third season at 9 PM

June 1 – The new Lifetime series UnReal will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the hit dating competition show Everlasing, the series follows flawed heroine Rachel Goldberg (Shiri Appleby from Roswell and Life Unexpected, a young producer whose sole job is to manipulate her relationships with and among the contestants to get the vital dramatic and outrageous footage that the program’s dispassionate executive producer, Quinn King (Constance Zimmer from House of Cards and Entourage), demands. The cast includes Freddie Stroma (Harry Potter franchise and Pitch Perfect), Craig Bierko (Damages), Arielle Kebbel (The Vampire Diaries) and Ashley Scott (Jericho).

June 2 – Royal Pains returns for its seventh season on the USA Network at 10 PM

June 2 – Pretty Little Liars will be back with its summer premiere on ABC Family at 8 PM

June 2 – The new ABC Family drama Stitchers will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The series follows Kirsten (relative newcomer Emma Ishta), a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be ‘stitched’ into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. The cast includes Kyle Harris (The Carrie Diaries), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Eureka) and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13).

June 4 – Hannibal will return for its third season on NBC at 10 PM

June 4 – The mid-season finale of Lost Girl will air on Syfy at 10 PM

June 5 – The back-to-back double episode season finale of Bitten will air on Syfy at 11 PM

June 5 – Sense8 is the new drama, from the Wachowski siblings (the people behind The Matrix franchise), will debut on Netflix

Show Synopsis: This sci-fi thriller follows the story of eight strangers from different cultures and parts of the world, who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, suddenly find themselves mentally and emotionally connected – an evolutionary leap of technological origin. The cast includes Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe), Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who), Aml Ameen (The Maze Runner), Naveen Andrews (Lost) and Tuppence Middleton (Jupiter Ascending) [among others].

June 6 – Power will return for its second season on Starz at 9 PM

June 6 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Signed Sealed Delivered From Paris With Love will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Poppy Montgomery (Without a Trace and Unforgettable) will play Holly, the estranged wife of lead postal detective Oliver (Eric Mabius of Ugly Betty), who suddenly returns from Paris the same day he and his Postables team, Shane (Kristin Booth from Orphan Black), Rita (Crystal Lowe from Primeval New World) and Norman (Geoff Gustafson from Primeval New World), deliver divorce papers to a happy couple.

NOTE: This was once a TV series on the Hallmark Channel that started out as a two-hour movie on the network that is now being returned to movie format on the network’s sister station.

June 7 – The new UP Channel movie Love Finds You in Charm will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Beautiful Emma Miller (Danielle Churchran from Nowhere Safe) would appear to be the luckiest girl in Indiana. She teaches school, has a loving family, and the town’s most eligible young man wants to marry her. But this Amish young woman has more on her mind than buggies and bonnets – she longs for adventure and wants to see the world. When given the opportunity to spend the summer with relatives in scenic Charm, Ohio, Emma jumps at the chance. There she meets an Englischer (Tiffany Dupont from Greek) who has come to town to escape her chaotic life, and despite their differences, the two become fast friends. After meeting a fascinating young man (Drew Fuller from Army Wives and Charmed), Emma finds herself pulled between two worlds. Now, she must follow her heart and decide whether to stay amongst the Amish – or leave behind everyone and everything she’s ever known. Based on the novel by best-selling Author Annalisa Daughety. The film also stars Trevor Donovan (90210).

June 8 – Major Crimes and Murder In The First will both return for new seasons on TNT at 9 and 10 PM respectively

June 8 – The Fosters will have their summer premiere on ABC Family at 8 PM

June 8 – The season finale of Turn: Washington’s Spies will air on AMC at 10 PM

June 9 – iZombie will air its season finale on The CW at 9 PM

June 11 – Beauty and the Beast will finally be back for its third season on The CW at 8 PM

June 11 – The season finale of Bones will (finally) air on FOX at 9 PM

June 12 – Defiance will return with a two-hour double episode premiere on Syfy at 8 PM

June 12 – The new drama Dark Matter will debut on Syfy at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: The crew of a derelict spaceship are awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. Facing threats at every turn, they have to work together to survive a voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal and hidden secrets. The cast features Melissa O’Neil (Broadway’s Les Miserables), Marc Bendavid (Bitten), Anthony Lemke (The Good Witch), Zoie Palmer (Lost Girl), Jodelle Ferdland (Cabin in the Woods), Roger Cross (The Strain, Continuum and Arrow), Alex Mallari Jr. (Robocop).

June 12 – Orange Is the New Black will debut season three on Netflix

June 13 – The 7-part mini-series Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell will debut on BBC America at 10 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan) and Bertie Carvel (Restless) will star in this mini-series that is set at the beginning of the 19th-century in an England where no one believes in practical magic. The reclusive Mr. Norrell (Marsan) of Hurtfew Abbey stuns the city of York when he causes the statues of York Cathedral to speak and move. With a little persuasion and help from his man of business Childermass (Enzo Cilenti), he goes to London to help the government in the war against Napoleon.

June 13 – The two-hour season finale of When Calls the Heart will air on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

June 14 – The UP Channel original movie Baby Boot Camp will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In this romantic comedy, super cute fitness instructor Julia Penman (Danneel Ackles [Jensen Ackles’ wife], is down on her luck trying to make her baby boot camp a thriving business. To make ends meet, she becomes a part-time nanny for single widowed father Scott (Kavan Smith from When Calls the Heart). Trouble is, she knows nothing about taking care of children. The film also stars Miranda Frigon (A Cookie Cutter Christmas).

June 16 – Tyrant will be back for a new season on FX at 10 PM

June 16 – Rizzoli & Isles will return for its sixth season on TNT at 9 PM

June 16 – The new TNT drama Proof will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Following the death of her teenage son, a divorce, and a rift with her daughter, Dr. Carolyn Tyler (Jennifer Beals) is persuaded by Ivan Turing (Matthew Modine), a tech inventor and billionaire with cancer, to investigate supernatural cases of reincarnation, near-death experiences, and hauntings, in hopes to find evidence that death is not final. The cast includes Joe Morton (Scandal and Eureka), Callum Blue (Dead Like Me) and Edi Gathegi (X-Men: First Class).

June 16 – Finding Carter will air its season finale on MTV at 10 PM

June 17 – The SundanceTV drama Deutschland 83 will debut at 11 PM

Show Synopsis: The eight-part, coming-of-age spy thriller unfolds just as the Cold War between East and West comes to a head, following Martin Rauch (German actor Jonas Nay) as the 24-year-old East German native who is pulled from the world as he knows it and sent to the West as an undercover spy for the Stasi foreign service. Hiding in plain sight in the West German army, he must gather the secrets of NATO military strategy.

June 17 – Ripper Street will air its season finale on BBC America at 10 PM

June 18 – The ABC drama Mistresses will return for its third season with a two-hour premiere at 9 PM

June 18 – The new USA Network drama Complications will debut with two back-to-back episodes at 9 and 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Dr. John Ellison (Jason O’Mara from Terra Nova) is a disillusioned suburban ER doctor, who finds his existence transformed when he intervenes in a drive-by shooting, saving a young boy’s life and killing one of his attackers. When he learns the boy is still marked for death he finds himself compelled to save him at any cost and discovers that his life and his outlook on medicine may never be the same. The cast includes Jessica Szohr (90210), Beth Riesgraf (Leverage) and Lauren Stamile (Grey’s Anatomy and Burn Notice).

June 18 – The Astronaut Wives Club will debut on ABC at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: Based on the book by Lily Koppel, this new series will focus on seven women who were key players behind some of the biggest events in American history. As America’s astronauts were launched on death-defying missions, the lives of their young wives were transformed, seemingly overnight, from military spouses to American royalty. As their celebrity rose, and tragedy began to touch their lives, they rallied together. The cast includes Dominique McElligott (Hell on Wheels), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck), Odette Annable (Rush and House), Joanna Garcia-Swisher (Once Upon a Time), Erin Cummings (Spartacus), Azure Parsons (Salem), Sam Reid (the box office film Belle), Zoe Boyle (Downton Abbey), Desmond Harrington (Dexter), Bret Harrison (Reaper), Aaron McCusker (Shameless and Fortitude), Kenneth Mitchell (Jericho) and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie).

June 19 – The new Syfy drama Killjoys will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Killjoys follows a fun-loving, hard living trio of interplanetary bounty hunters sworn to remain impartial as they chase deadly warrants throughout the Quad, a distant system on the brink of a bloody, multi-planetary class war. The cast features Aaron Ashmore (Warehouse 13), Luke Macfarlane (Brothers & Sisters) and Hannah John-Kamen (The Hour and Whitechapel).

June 20 – Perfect Match is the new Hallmark Channel movie that will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a young couple has opposing visions of their wedding day, two competing wedding planners are brought in to arrange the perfect event. As the wedding day approaches, the clashing wedding planners find romance of their own and discover that opposites can produce the most surprising results. The cast includes Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years), Linda Gray (Dallas) and Paul Greene (Bitten).

June 20 – The season finale of Orphan Black will air on BBC America at 9 PM

June 21 – The Hallmark Channel movie Love Again will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNPOSIS: Teri Polo (The Fosters) Paul Johansson (One Tree Hill) will star in this made-for-TV movie about a couple on the brink of divorce who decide to keep their marital woes a secret as they help their daughter plan her wedding. As the two work together on the happy occasion, they soon discover that their own marriage might just be worth saving.

June 21 – The second season of the HBO anthology series True Detective will air at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The new season sees a bizarre murder unite three law-enforcement officers and a career criminal, each of whom must navigate a web of conspiracy and betrayal in the scorched landscapes of California. The cast includes Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Kelly Reilly, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch.

June 21 – The 8-part mini-series Poldark will start tonight on PBS at 9 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: Aidan Turner (The Hobbit and Being Human) stars as Captain Ross Poldark, a redcoat who returns to Cornwall after the American Revolutionary War to discover that his father is dead, his lands are ruined, and his true love is about to marry his first cousin. Based on a beloved series of novels by Winston Graham.

June 21 – The 6-part 2014 mini-series The Crimson Field will debut here in the US on PBS at 10 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: Following the lives of nurses and their patients at a Western Front field hospital in France, this mini-series begins at the beginning of World War II with the Voluntary Aid Detachments, or VAD’s, and their arrival as the first volunteer nurses at the field hospitals on the coast of France. The cast includes Hermione Norris (Spooks/MI5), Oona Chaplin (The Hour and Game of Thrones), Suranne Jones (A Touch of Cloth) and Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey)

June 21 – The Last Ship will return to TNT for a two-hour season premiere at 9 PM

June 21 – A.D. The Bible Continues will air its season finale on NBC at 9 PM

June 24 – Suits is back for its fifth season on the USA Network at 9 PM

June 24 – The new USA Network drama Mr. Robot will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: This new series follows a mysterious anarchist (Christian Slater) who recruits a young computer programmer (Rami Malek from 24 and The Pacific) who suffers from an anti-social disorder and connects to people by hacking them. The cast includes Gloria Reuben (ER), Portia Doulbeday (Youth in Revolt) and Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory)

June 25 – The USA Network drama Graceland returns for its third season at 9 PM

June 25 – Rookie Blue will be back for another summer on ABC at 10 PM

June 25 – Under the Dome will be back for another season on CBS at 9 PM with a two-hour premiere

June 27 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Country Wedding will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A famous country singer set to marry a glamorous Hollywood actress returns to his small town roots. When he crosses paths with his childhood sweetheart – and finally feels inspired to write songs again – he reevaluates his life, his values and his opinion of true love. As his wedding day approaches, he must decide if he has chosen the right woman to be his wife. The cast includes Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives), Autumn Reeser (The O.C. and Necessary Roughness), Laura Mennell (Alphas) and Lauren Holly (NCIS and Motive).

June 27 – Atlantis is back for the rest of its second season on BBC America at 9 PM

June 28 – AMC will debut the 8-part drama Humans at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The series follows a strained suburban family who, in the hope of transforming the way they live, purchases a refurbished Synth only to discover that sharing life with a machine has far-reaching and chilling consequences. The series stars William Hurt and Colin Morgan (Merlin) [among others].

June 28 – Last Tango in Halifax will return for its third season on PBS at 8 PM

June 28 – WGN America will air the season finale of Salem at 10 PM

June 28 – American Odyssey will air its season finale on NBC at 10 PM

June 28 – The fifth and final season of Falling Skies will start tonight on TNT at 10 PM

June 29 and 30 – Teen Wolf will air its two-part season premiere on MTV at 10 PM on June 29 and at 9 PM on June 30

June 30 – The new MTV thriller Scream (based on the box office film franchise) will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: When a YouTube video goes viral, that leads to problems for teenager Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus from Arrow), and seemingly serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window into the troubled past of the small town of Lakewood. The cast includes Willa Fitzgerald (Royal Pains).

June 30 – The new CBS thriller Zoo, based on the James Patterson book, will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: James Wolk (Lone Star and Mad Men) will star as a renegade biologist, who is thrust into a race to unlock the mystery of a pandemic that begins after animals ferociously attack humans across the globe, leaving them no place to hide. The cast includes Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones, Dracula and Cinderella), Billy Burke (Revolution), Kristen Connolly (House of Cards) and Carl Lumbly (Alias).

June 30 – The Haves and Have Nots will return to OWN for the start of its fourth season at 9 PM
