HART OF DIXIE Recap: End of Days

Annabeth has a dream where she is visited by the founder of Bluebell. He’s very old timey and leaves her the five signs of the apocalypse. Cricket hears about Annabeth’s dream and she takes it pretty seriously. She is sure today is the last day on earth. Lavon and Lemon try to calm her to no avail. Cricket figures the best way to spend the day is to make amends. They head to visit Smelly Marjorie to apologize for the way they treated her in high school. First thing is to stop calling her Smelly Marjorie.

Making amends doesn’t go so well for the girls. Smelly Marjorie isn’t amused with being called Smelly Marjorie in her office of all places. The girls don’t take getting kicked out as a final answer and track Marjorie down at her house. They try to apologize. She doesn’t want to hear it.

Zoe and Wade have an argument when it is revealed she doesn’t believe in marriage. Something he thinks she should have mentioned. Wade is wondering what else she is hiding. Zoe wants to know when he started caring about this kind of thing anyway. “Since I met you.”

George’s truck breaks and thankfully Zoe comes by. She offers to give him a ride…to New Orleans where Meatball is performing. In New Orleans Zoe and George reminisce about the past. Meatballs cousin, Pamela, finds George in the crowd and offers him a job. She wants him to be her manager, they would leave for Nashville tomorrow. George doesn’t think he can leave Bluebell.

On the drive back George does a pretty good job of talking Zoe into how great it would be if she married Wade. Zoe has a plan, she’s going to propose to Wade. Tonight.

Since most of the town is living it up in the belief that tonight’s the last night, Lemon and Lavon head to his place, while George goes to find Annabeth. Zoe has Marry Me in candles set up and all she needs is Wade. Unfortunately Wade calls and she is needed ASAP. Brick went muddogging and is hurt. They leave the candles burning and take off.
Lemon and Lavon come across the candles and she thinks Lavon left them for her. She says yes. He seems pretty happy after the original shock.

Zoe gets Brick comfortable and pulls Wade out of there so she can propose to him. Before they can get to the house Lemon and Lavon run into them and tell all about their proposal. Zoe isn’t so happy they stole her proposal, but Lemon and Lavon are so happy she lets it go.

George finds Annabeth, who heard from Meatball about the offer George got from Pamela. She tells him it is an amazing opportunity, he should take this chance. They will be okay, it’s not that far from Nashville to Bluebell.

Well what do you know, the town counts down to midnight and they are still there, the world didn’t end. The prophesy dream was just that…a dream.

George takes that opportunity to tell everyone he is leaving for Nashville. The next morning the town is out to see him off. Very few dry eyes among the group as George says his goodbyes and drives out of town.

Five Signs of the Apocalypse
1. A flood with fall a foe. A water mane broke in Fillmore.
2. A former couple with say NO. Zoe drives George to New Orleans.
3. Send a chicken to bed. Brick sends Chicken home to rest.
4. A city street will run blood red. A truck blew out a tire causing it to spill the red paint it was carrying all over the street.
5. Darkness will replace the light, this’ll be our final night. The power goes out all throughout the town.

Quote of the night goes to Wade, “I can’t take life advice from the Kardashians.”
