Here are the casting couch features for the past two weeks:
Actress Linda Park (Star Trek: Enterprise) will appear in an upcoming episode of Castle, playing Inspector Zhang, a hot-shot Hong Kong cop that Beckett is paired up with, somewhat unwillingly. Also, actress Reiko Aylesworth (24) and actor Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives) will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of Castle. Chavira will play Alex Lopez, a popular congressman whose life may in danger, while Aylesworth will play his astute wife, Mia. Castle won’t be back with a new episode on ABC until March 16.
Actor Simon Merrells (The Tomorrow People) will appear in an eight-episode arc of the Syfy drama Dominion, playing Julian, the cunning and powerful leader of New Delphi, who will go to any lengths to protect his city. Also actor Nic Bishop (Covert Affairs and Body of Proof) will appear in a season-long arc on the show, but details on his role are being kept under wraps. The second season of Dominion is expected back on Syfy later this year.
Actor Doug Jones (Falling Skies) will appear in an upcoming episode of The Flash, playing Jake Simmons (aka Deathbolt), a villain with the power to manipulate lightning. The Flash will be back with new episodes of The CW starting on March 17.
Actresses Laura Benanti (Nashville), Calista Flockhart (Brothers & Sisters), Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) and Helen Slater (the original Supergirl) as well as actors David Harewood (Homeland) and Dean Cain (from Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) will all appear in the upcoming CBS drama Supergirl that will star Melissa Benoist (Glee) in the lead role about Kara Zor-El.
Benanti will play Alura Zor-El, the birth mother of Kara; Flockhart will appear as Cat Grant, a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo, where Kara works as her assistant; Leigh will play Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Kara’s confident foster sister; Harewood will play Hank Henshaw, a onetime CIA agent who now runs the Department of Extra-Normal Operations, which tracks extraterrestrial threats on the planet Earth. The roles to be played by Slater and Cain have been kept under wraps. Supergirl has not been given a confirmed airdate yet by CBS.
