SCORPION Recap: Kill Screen
Guess what? Scorpion is back. Guess what else? They are still doing the entire opening sequence. The ENTIRE sequence.
I don’t suppose you are reading this to hear me complain about the opening though so let’s get to the point. The point is Ralph is playing some video game online that looks just like a safe house in real life. A safe house that has been hit, killing two CIA agents.
So here is the problem – the game is on the dark web. That’s not good. Ralph is one of only two people that found this secret level. This leads the DOJ to assume that Ralph helped build the game to leak the CIA intel. Yeah, that’s their theory.
Of course Gallo and Walter put a stop to the DOJ questioning of Ralph and decide they must find the game designer to clear Ralph’s name. This leads them to a gaming convention where they find a kid named Nate. Nate however didn’t design the game alone; he had help from a guy named Calvin.
Calvin turns out to be a bad guy with quite the criminal record. He escapes into a building, after stabbing Nate, a building that Walter recognizes from the game Calvin and Nate designed. With Ralph’s help navigating Walter manages to get the drop on Calvin, taking him down.
This is of course the main story, but the minor story line is all about how Drew doesn’t think that Ralph should be growing up with/around Team Scorpion. He feels this is all kinds of bad and dangerous. I of course don’t think you get to have an opinion about a child you abandoned. Thankfully Paige, while pissed at Walter for showing Ralph the dark web in the first place, feels Scorpion is good for Ralph.
Scorpion airs Monday 9/8c on CBS
