THE GOOD WIFE – 6.10 ‘The Trial’ Kalinda’s Bravery & Alicia in Wonderland

Its time for Cary’s trial and judge Cuesta is in an awful mood. Who knew Neil Diamond was still such a hot ticket? He tries to strong-arm each party into meeting in the middle. His hopes were run right out on a rail and ASA Pine is smelling victory. Sadly, she is right. Even after Kalinda pulling out every stop and threatening Bishop in his own house things fell apart fast for Agos.

In the end Cary took a plea deal and it left us all with a sick feeling in the gut. I expected, as usual, our lawyers would somehow manage of pull a rabbit out of their hat. This time everyone’s magic failed. These events lead me to think the resolution of the whole matter will somehow be tied to Archie Panjabi’s departure from the show. Kalinda’s confrontation of Bishop, leading to his subsequent fury and threat appears to confirm this theory.

Meanwhile Jackie calls and the news is not good. It seems Alicia wrote a note threatening to disembowel one of her daughters teachers. Wait. What? And well, here’s the thing. It was a joke. A bad joke. Honestly, it is difficult to even address this storyline simply because it is so laughable. Really? Who would do that? No one. That’s who.

The circus continues when Prady gets pulled into the whole mess, leaving the two bickering like children on a playground. Further chaos ensues when the teacher with the note withholds it’s return by asking for favors in return. Alicia refuses, but is thwarted when Peter steps in. Get used to it Alicia.
