Here are the casting couch features for this past week:
Actress Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full Of Grace and Red Band Society) will have a heavily recurring role on the fifth and final season of Falling Skies, playing Isabella, a leftist-leaning academic prior to the invasion, but now on the run and seeking sanctuary. She is a realist and canny survivor who poses as a nurse in order to win John (series regular Colin Cunningham) approval and trust. Falling Skies will be back on TNT sometime in 2015.
Actor James Denton (Desperate Housewives has joined the cast of the upcoming The Good Witch series that will be based on the popular movie franchise on the Hallmark Channel. He will play Cassie’s (series lead Catherine Bell) new next-door-neighbor, a divorced doctor and single dad. The Good Witch will debut on the Hallmark Channel sometime in 2015.
Actor Vinnie Jones (Snatch and Elementary) will appear as Danny “Brick” Brickwell on Arrow. Brick is a ruthless gang leader who brings Star City’s government to its knees. The next episode of Arrow will air on October 29 on The CW.
Soap star Rogar Howarth (General Hospital) has landed a recurring role on The Flash, playing Mason Bridge, an award-winning reporter from the Central City Picture News, who is assigned to shepherd new employee Iris West (series regular Candice Patton), but their relationship becomes complicated when Bridge begins to investigate Barry’s mentor, Dr. Wells (series regular Tom Cavanagh). The Flash will air its next episode on The CW on October 28.
Actor Max Brown (Beauty And the Beast and The Tudors) will have a pivotal role on Sleepy Hollow, but the specific details are being kept under wraps at this time Also, actress Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy and Gossip Girl) will appear in an upcoming episode of Sleepy Hollow, playing founding mother Abigail Adams. The next new episode of Sleepy Hollow will air on October 27 on FOX.
Actor Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica) will guest star on Scandal playing Charles Putney, the abusive ex-husband of Abby Whelan (series regular Darby Stanchfield). The next new episode of Scandal will air on ABC on October 30.
Actress Morena Baccarin (Homeland and Firefly) will have a recurring role in Gotham, playing Dr. Leslie Thompkins, a gifted and dedicated physician who was a friend of the late Thomas and Martha Wayne. She is determined to use her skills to aid Gotham’s most in need, which currently means working at the newly opened Arkham Asylum’s Home for the Criminally Insane. Gotham will air another new episode of FOX on October 27.
Actor Percy Daggs III (Veronica Mars) will guest star in an episode of the new CW series iZombie that follows Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver from Once Upon a Time), a medical resident whose life is changed forever when she attends a party that turns into a zombie feeding frenzy. Daggs will play Sean Taylor, a wealthy genius who lives in Seattle. When he gets a job offer in Silicon Valley, he plans to move his wife Penny and 6-year-old stepdaughter Anna there, but then finds himself in a tough custody battle with Anna’s father, Everett. But the problem is seemingly solved when Everett is killed. iZombie will premiere on The CW sometime next year.
Actress Lyndsy Fonseca (How I Met Your Mother and Nikita) is joining the cast of the upcoming ABC mid-season drama Agent Carter that follows the heroine (series lead Hayley Atwell) in 1946 as she works for the Strategic Scientific Reserve while secretly taking on secret missions with Howard Stark (series regular Dominic Cooper). Fonseca will play Angie Martinelli, an aspiring actress who befriends Peggy. Agent Carter will debut on ABC in January.
Actor Adewale Akinnoye-Agbaje (Lost) will have a mysterious role on Game of Thrones when it returns for its new season. Game of Thrones will be back on HBO sometime in 2015.
