What to Expect on TV for November

As we get closer to the holidays there are, of course, plenty of holiday-themed movies coming up in November as well as other made-for-TV movie and mini-series debuts, returning cable dramas and a late-in-the-season debut on NBC.

First, let’s take a quick look at all of the holiday films that will air in November:

One Starry Christmas

The Nine Lives of Christmas

November 1 – One Starry Christmas on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Sarah Carter from Falling Skies, George Canyon from Heartland, Damon Runyan from Degrassi: The Next Generation and Paul Popowich from Cracked.

November 8 – The Nine Lives of Christmas on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Brandon Routh from Arrow and Chuck, Chelsea Hobbs from Make It or Break It and veteran actor Gregory Harrison.

A Cookie Cutter Christmas

Naughty & Nice

November 9 – A Cookie Cutter Christmas on Hallmark Channel

Air at 8 PM, starring Erin Krakow from When Calls the Heart, Miranda Frigon from Primeval: New World, David Haydn-Jones from Dear Santa and veteran actor Alan Thicke.

November 9 – Naughty & Nice on UP Channel

Airs at 7 PM, starring Tilky Jones from Nashville, Haylie Duff from 7th Heaven and Love Comes Softly movie franchise, Tyler Jacob Moore from Shameless and GCB and veteran actress Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch).

Paper Angels

November 15 – Northpole on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Tiffani Thiessen from White Collar, Josh Hopkins from Cougar Town, Bailee Madison from Once Upon a Time, Max Charles from The Amazing Spider-Man and Neighbors and legendary actors Robert Wagner and Jill St. John.

November 16 – Paper Angels on UP Channel

Airs 7 PM, starring Josie Bissett from Melrose Place, Matthew Settle from Gossip Girl, Kendra Anderson from Copper and Russell Porter from Under the Mistletoe.

Angels and Ornaments

A Royal Christmas

November 16 – Angels and Ornaments on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Jessalyn Gilsig from Glee and Vikings, Sergio Di Zio from Flashpoint and Graham Abbey from Degrassi: The Next Generation.

November 22 – A Royal Christmas on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Lacey Chabert from Party of Five, relative newcomer Stephen Hagen and veteran actress Jane Seymour.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas

The Christmas Shepherd

November 23 – Signed, Sealed, Delivered on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries

Airs at 9 PM, starring the cast of the TV series Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson as well as Rob Estes and veteran actress Marion Ross.

November 23 – The Christmas Shepherd on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Teri Polo from The Fosters and Martin Cummins from When Calls the Heart.

November 29 – Christmas Under Wraps on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Candace Cameron-Bure from Full House.

The Tree That Saved Christmas

November 30 – The Tree That Saved Christmas on UP Channel

Airs at 7 PM, starring Lacey Chabert from Party of Five and Corey Sevier from When Calls the Heart.

November 30 – A Christmas Mystery on ION

Airs at 9 PM, starring Esmé Bianco from Game of Thrones, Ryan Bittle from All My Children and veteran actor John Ratzenberger.

November 30 – One Christmas Eve on Hallmark Channel

Airs at 8 PM, starring Anne Heche.

Next are the cable dramas that will be returning throughout November as well as the one late-in-the-season debut of a new major network drama and the season finale of a popular cable series:

White Collar Final Season

November 6 – The final season of White Collar will return to the USA Network at 9 PM followed by the return of Covert Affairs at 10 PM.

November 8 – The season finale of Doctor Who will air on BBC America at 9 PM.

November 9 – The finale season of The Newsroom will air on HBO at 9 PM.

November 12 – Hell on Wheels will return to AMC at 9 PM.

November 14 – The third season of Ripper Street will now air on Netflix, starting today.

November 15 – The second season of Atlantis will be back on BBC America at 9 PM.

November 17 – The new drama State of Affairs will debut on NBC at 10 PM, starring Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy and Roswell) and Alfre Woodard.

Transporter The Series

November 29 – The second season of The Transporter: The Series will start on TNT at 9 PM.

A couple new mini-series will debut starting in November, including:

November 5 – The new 6-part mini-series The Game will debut on BBC America at 10 PM.

The Game 2

November 15 – The eight-part mini-series The Missing will debut on Starz at 9 PM.

Lastly, there will be two new made-for-TV movies airing in November:

November 2 and November 3 – The two-night HBO movie Olive Kitteridge will air on HBO at 9 PM both nights, starring Frances McDormand and Richard Jenkins.

November 23 – The Lifetime original movie Seasons of Love will debut on 9 PM, starring LeToya Luckett from Single Ladies, Cleo Anthony from Divergent and Rob Riley from Hit the Floor as well as Taraji P. Henson (Person of Interest) and singer Gladys Knight.
