Erica Durance Stars in Wedding Planner Mystery on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries This Weekend
Saving Hope and Smallville star Erica Durance appears as Carnegie Kincaid, a wedding planner in the Pacific Northwest who is a perfectionist at heart. Her current client is Diane Perry, a member of one of the town’s most affluent and influential families, whose wedding opens the story.
Before the ceremony gets underway, though, Carnegie has to get rid of a nosy reporter named Aaron Gold (Andrew W. Walker from When Calls the Heart and Against the Wall), who actually wants to get leads on Diane’s family; specifically Parry family patriarch Douglas Parry. Parry and his former business partner Keith Gutheridge are suspected of being white-collar criminals and Aaron wants the story.
During the wedding reception, bridesmaid Michelle Parry – cousin of the bride – gets into a fight with her long-time boyfriend, rushing off into the rainy night in her other cousin Nicky Parry’s (Chelan Simmons from The L.A. Complex) car; but a car accident takes Michelle’s life and now Carnegie – by no fault of her own – becomes a person of interest by the local police Detective Borden (Rick Ravanello from made-for-TV movies Garage Sale Mystery and Dark Haul).
As the story unfolds, Carnegie attempts to figure out who is really behind Michelle’s death all the while putting together Nicky’s impending wedding and falling for Parry family attorney Holt Walker (Brandon Beemer from Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful).
But all is not well because none of the pieces to the puzzle of Michelle’s death are fitting together and Carnegie is sure someone has been in her house. As Carnegie gets closer to the truth, she has to begin to trust in Aaron to unravel the mystery and be careful for whom she puts her faith.
The film also co-stars Gabrielle Rose (David’s mom on Once Upon a Time), Karen Holness (recently seen in the Hallmark Channel Recipe for Love) and Julian Christopher (Supernatural and Cult).
Wedding Planner Mystery will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (formerly the Hallmark Movie Channel) on Sunday, October 19 at 9/8c.
