The Good Wife 6.01 – “The Line” Prison Etiquette, Polls & Missing Panties
Kalinda gets stood up but Cary has a good excuse. Poor Agos has been arrested on a drug charge which is simply a ploy to reach their high profile drug lord client, Bishop. While the major players hash out his ridiculously large bail, Carey is left to stew and gets a lesson in prison etiquette.
Agos does “make a friend” as Kalinda suggested, however this “friend” has ties to Bishop and is ordered to cut of one of Cary’s fingers as proof of the lawyer’s loyalty. For a minute there I really thought that might happen, in the end, he chose to slash and dash instead. His silence regarding the incident was quite impressive.
Thanks to Cary’s blood test from Bishop, the bail money is provided. Hold the phone! His release is held up until the source of the funds can be established. Well, isn’t that nice! I’m beginning to feel Cary may be sporting some pretty nice prison tattoos before this is all over.
Eli wants Alicia to run for States Attorney and engages in some impressive poll antics to confirm his opinion. The Governor is less than enthused by this choice but caves under the lack of any viable options. Honestly, Mr. Florrick should be more concerned about the ginger haired intern traipsing around the office sans undies! Can he REALLY be THAT stupid? If past actions are any indication of future events, then the answer is: HELL YES! Sigh.
Oh yeah, and in regards to the bombshell merger last season, it took a back seat this episode. However, seeds were planted by David Lee and Louis Canning which lets us know more mayhem is sure to come. Brownie points goes to Robyn who was willing to offer up all her savings in order to spring Cary. Will they return the loyalty and keep her when the merger happens? What IS on that recording the States Attorney has of Cary?
