It was such an honor to have Anthony Head at our table. The instant he began speaking you get the distinct feeling that this is a man completely comfortable in his own skin. He his quite clever and witty which reminded me there is nothing more sexy in a man than intelligence.

We began the conversation on the topic of Social Media. Anthony was quick to reply: “All TV Companies are trying to get their actors to participate. And now you’d be insane not to because It’s an instant hook-in with people watching the show and people enjoying the show. You get a visceral vibe of actual being part of the audience. It’s great. And they are lovely about the show. I mean they really get into it. The social media aspect is huge and it is relatively new and now it would be a bit crazy not to get involved”

On where his character is heading Anthony frankly responded: “Straight to hell.” “To be honest, he’s…I don’t like sort of black and white colored, good bad characters. I mean I like to feel that everybody even if they end up with an agenda started in sort of a reasonable sane place. Whatever happens to them, whatever makes them who they are through life changes them through life but it doesn’t mean that they are bad or good…..there’s some pretty horrendous people out in the world. And I guess they didn’t start off that way. “

DOM107_DavidAnthony gives us a glimpse of what is coming for David when he said, “The end of this season is pretty seismic for David. “A lot happens between now and the end. Stuff that he holds dear and close to him gets compromised the last few episodes.”

On whether we will see more backstory for David: “Not in this season just because…. what is playing out is sort of out of his control.” “There’s nothing he can do with what is going on. It’s changing for him.”

David confessed that his first opinion of Dominion was quite different than he initially imagined. “I must admit….when I did the pilot I thought it was going to be fairly predictable. It was going to be Romeo and Juliet. It was going to be Dallas in the future and I was JR. And none of that happened and everything started shifting in episode two.”

Regarding killing Bixby, David was quite charming and laughed about our reaction. “I know, but she had to go!” He elaborated by explaining, “The thing about killing Bixby was that he.. it wasn’t easy for him. He actually suffered doing it, and I think it now haunts him. But, in his head he had to do it for the good of Vega and obviously for the furtherance of the House Whele. At the root of everything is the survival of this bizarre colony called Vega.”

David was also surprised by fans reaction to the absence of his accent in his character. “And much as it upsets people I’m doing an American Accent. But as an actor it gives me a huge number of new choices to draw from, and the fact that I don’t feel that I know myself when I watch myself. It’s fantastic.”

For the complete interview, please view the video below. Anthony elaborates more on the origins of David. He confesses his admiration of Roxanne McKee and Amy Baily in episode six, ‘Blue Eyes Black.’ He also is quite delighted in our reaction to the love hate relationship we had with David.
