News broke about a week ago that the folks at the Canadian channel Space had ordered a second season of the supernatural series Bitten, but those of across the border have been waiting for the folks at Syfy, who aired the first season for US viewers, to announce if they would be picking up the US broadcast rights or not.

Well, good news folks! Syfy has “acquired” the 10-episode second season with plans to air it sometime in 2015.

Bitten is based on the “Women of the Otherworld” novels by New York Times best-selling author Kelley Armstrong. It stars Laura Vandervoort (Smallville and V) as Elena Michaels, the lone female werewolf in existence. The cast includes Greg Bryk (Rookie Blue and XIII: The Series), Greyston Holt (Alcatraz and Durham County), Steve Lund (Being Erica), Michael Xavier (The Best Years) and Genelle Williams (Warehouse 13).
