Lots of TV Finales Are Coming
The second week of May is always a busy time of the TV season with not only the annual upfront presentations being made to the advertisers in New York City by all of the networks but also a major week on TV itself when countless finales air.
Sunday night (May 11) will find the two-hour finale of Once Upon a Time and the one-hour finale of Revenge on ABC. Both shows have both be renewed for the fall.
Monday night (May 12) will include the final episodes of the 2013-2014 TV season for the new dramas Star-Crossed (The CW) [which was unfortunately cancelled] and The Blacklist (NBC) as well as fan favorite Castle (ABC). The latter two will both be back next season.
Tuesday night (May 13) will see the final episodes of The Originals (The CW), Person of Interest (CBS), Glee (FOX) and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC). All fours shows will be back this fall.
Moving over to Wednesday night (May 14), the season finales of Nashville (ABC) and Arrow (The CW) will air. Arrow was given an early third season renewal while the fate of Nashville is, as of this posting, still up in the air.
Thursday night (May 15) will see the finales of The Vampires Diaries and Reign (both on The CW) and Elementary (CBS) airing. All three shows have been renewed for the fall.
Friday night (May 16) will bring the finales of Grimm (NBC) and Hart of Dixie (The CW). Both shows will be back for new seasons this fall.
Then on Sunday night (May 18), the finales of The Good Wife and The Mentalist (CBS) will both air. CBS has yet to announce which of their existing dramas will be back next fall, but the former has a very good choice while the latter is currently considered a “bubble” show.
This report wouldn’t be complete without wrapping up the final week of the current TV season with the following:
Bones will air its finale on Monday, May 19 on FOX. The show will also be back for its 10th season this fall.
Supernatural will air its finale on Tuesday, May 20 on The CW. This long-running fan favorite drama will also be back this fall for its 10th season.
Lastly, Revolution will air its finale on Wednesday, May 21 on NBC. At the time of this posting, it is unclear if NBC will be picking the show up for another season.
Please note these, of course, aren’t the only finales airing on the major networks over the next two weeks so please check your local listings for all of your favorites and enjoy the end of the 2013-2014 TV season.
