Comic Con 2013 Flashback: The End of WAREHOUSE 13 Is Coming

By  |

Last July, the entire cast of Warehouse 13 including Eddie McClintock, Aaron Ashmore, Joanne Kelly, Allison Scagliotti and Saul Rubinek as well as executive producer Jack Kenny took to the stage at Comic Con 2013 in San Diego to talk about the upcoming final season of the long-running Syfy series that will be back starting on April 14.

To kick off the panel in real style, the audience got to see a clip show of favorite moments from the five-season long series – a clip show that had never been shown before. With all those memories firmly in mind, the cast and showrunner then got to shared what fans could expect next, such as:

• Learning more about and meeting Claudia’s (Scagliotti) sister;
• Seeing the team at a renaissance faire;
• Watching them in a telenovela;
• Claudia getting to see the really gay side of Jinx (Ashmore);
• Seeing what more evil deeds Paracelsus (guest star Anthony Head) will unleash; and
• We’ll be getting 10 episodes in the actual 6 episodes of the final season.

Then the cast shared what has been one of the biggest challenges of being a part of Warehouse 13 with Joanne saying that she was “nervous about Myka’s cancer storyline”, but the “response was very positive”; and then Aaron joined in by saying it was “nerve-wracking to join an estimated cast”, but he was welcomed in very quickly. Eddie then shared that “one of the best parts of the show is the brilliance of Jack (the executive producer) to give Pete his voice”. He continued on saying that he has been sober for “13 years” and when he went out for the pilot he wasn’t sure if he could be number one on the call sheet (namely the star of the show), but in short – after having an emotional moment – Eddie shared that this role was a turning point for him.

To lighten the mood, Saul shared that his role of Artie has been a “magical thing” for him going on to say that he was “not expecting the best role in (his) career was right around the corner” in Warehouse 13.

When the panel was opened up to audience questions, one of the best was what artifact each of the cast would take home with them at the end of the series with the following being their responses:

Eddie – He wants the football
Saul – He wants Artie’s whole office
Jack – He wants Mrs. Frederic (recurring guest star CCH Pounder) because she has been such an interesting character
Alison and Aaron – They will be fighting over the metronome
Joanne – She loved the film noir episode and would love to have the dresses she got to wear in that episode

To find out what happens in the six-episode fifth and final season of Warehouse 13, make sure to watch Syfy on Monday nights starting on April 14 at 9/8c.
