BREAKING NEWS: Amy Acker to Guest on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD
Exciting news from TV Guide! Fan favorite actress Amy Acker – who is currently a regular on Person of Interest – will appear in at least one episode of the ABC drama Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Here is what TV Guide had to share:
“She will play Audrey, the famous cellist first mentioned in Marvel’s The Avengers as being the love of Phil Coulson’s (Clark Gregg) life. A talented musician turning heads in Portland, Audrey believes Coulson to be dead and has no idea that he’s guarding her from a distance as a super-powered threat from her past re-emerges. The cellist, who had remained nameless until now, was mentioned earlier this season when Raina (guest star Ruth Negga) goaded Coulson by saying his former long-distance lover had cried for days after his death”.
Acker is, of course, part of the Whedonverse (that’s Joss Whedon for those of you who don’t know the “slang” by now) since she was a regular on Angel, appeared in Whedon’s other show Dollhouse and appeared in Whedon’s box office film Much Ado About Nothing alongside SHIELD star Clark Gregg.
She will appear in an episode that is expected to air on April 22.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return with new episodes on ABC starting on April 1 at 8/7c.
