HELIX – 1.12 ‘The Reaping’ The Mourning Begins
The Sythe is on site and is receiving orders. Kill everyone except Hatake! His team plan their actions amid a mysterious Black Box. And whatever is in that thing is alive. What could it be and why would Immortals need to keep it locked up? When old security footage is uncovered. Our Infant Immortal Assassin makes a grim discovery. Sutton is dead and HELLO! She was his mother! Well, doesn’t that explain a lot? If Constance was my mother i’d probably be a sociopath too!
Alan and Jordan are hiding out in the Montana bunker and Daniel arrives with bad news. There are no more survivors. The elevator has been discovered. Peter is tramautazed by the loss of coworkers. And, may I say? I kind of miss the Vector look on Peter. The remaining survivors form a plan of attack and are only partially successful in their plot. One down two to go!
Jordan and Julia are coming to grips with immortality and that’s a hard one to grasp. Whoa! Hatake is 513 years old. He looks awesome for a geezer!
Sergio takes charge of keeping the villagers survival from Ilaria Corporation while Anana is having twin brother problems. Tulok is not happy with her sister’s choice in boyfriends. The first chance he gets, this brother unsuccessfully confronts Balleseros about it. Sorry Tulok. I don’t think Sergio will be dissuaded regarding Anana. Tulok gets a snowball to the face from his sister for the trouble. Look out, my friend! Anana can throw a mean punch.
Spencer is on a mission to hurt Hatake as much a possible. He finds the perfect solution in abducting Julia. Hatake is ready to sacrifice himself for his daughter especially when one of her fingers is presented in a demand letter.
Peter and Alan take to the air ducts once again in Plan B. It is hilarious to see them bickering like children while the fate of the world rests on their shoulders. An awkward moment comes between the two, when Alan discovers Peter’s shrine to Julia. I wonder how much of that obsession still remains?
Daniel, despite his anger at Hatake, goes rouge and leaves the underground bunker with the Virus. When he next appears, the virus is gone and Daniel is sporting an explosive collar across from Julia with who is sporting the same device.
Hiroshi arrives and is given an impossible task. Choose which child to save. Daniel in an amazing act of love sacrifices himself for Hatake. And that my friends, hurt. A lot. Twitter exploded with shocked reactions! I’ve got to hand it to the writers, it was a beautiful death and a bold move killing a beloved character. That took guts! Well played, very well played.
And, the shock just keep on coming when the black box is opened revealing Julia’s mother!
Whoa! What the hell is going on? With only one more episode remaining I don’t know how we can handle more losses!
