STAR-CROSSED Recap: Dreamers Often Lie

This wasn’t an everyone is doing the same thing kind of Star-Crossed episode. It was a few separate story lines.

First there is a new phase of the integration program going into effect. The Atrian 7 are allowed to go into town for the day. This gives Roman the perfect opportunity to search for Eljida, the magical place where Atrian’s live outside the Sector. With Lukas’s help Roman finds the phone his Dad was communicating with and also a note left by his Dad. The note is a riddle you have to follow to find Eljida.

While everyone else is shopping, wandering around the town Roman follows the clues. While he is waiting at what should be the last one he spots Gloria. He confronts her about talking to her Dad on the secret phone and she admits she and his Dad were in love. Roman doesn’t want to hear it and leaves to go back to town. He should have stuck around because not long after he leaves a boat shows up. Gloria gives her son to the Atrian on the boat, telling him this boy is Nox’s son and he needs to be protected. The Atrian says he will have everything he needs. It is quite sad to hear her son crying, “Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!” as the boat drifts back into the bayou.

Also Emery and Grayson decide to go on a movie date. However, before the movie starts Grayson gets a call from School Bully. He needs Grayson to come pick him up right now. Grayson gets there to find School Bully and two other Red Hawks. They jump in Grayson’s Jeep but when the police start to chase them they all jump out leaving Grayson to be arrested. Grayson’s parents are not happy, fortunately they have lots of money and they talk School Bully into taking the fall.

This doesn’t sit well with Grayson so he and Emery go to find the Red Hawks that really committed the crime. Of course this leads them to a biker bar where the guys that did the crime hold them at gun point. Emery uses the whole if we don’t check in they will come looking for us ploy. It works and by the end of the episode the police have arrested the correct people. Grayson and School Bully are off the hook.

Now this leads to Grayson thanking Emery with some kissing. I don’t know how I’m supposed to care about them as a couple so this doesn’t work for me.

And last but not least Drake has a mission to fulfill for the Trag’s while in town. He needs to bring the cube that turns cypher into that deadly black powder to an Atrian living as a human. After some cloak and dagger, leave a message under the park bench secret agent stuff Drake goes to wait for his contact at the local hangout. Trouble is Taylor sits down and starts talking all coy. Drake may be pretty but he isn’t the brightest. He doesn’t get that she isn’t talking about their mission she is talking about taking him into the bathroom and doing him. And that is exactly what happens. She wastes no time getting undressed and helping him undress. He picks her up and puts her on the counter and then against the wall. How quickly he forgets he’s on a mission.

It turns out the contact is the girl that Taylor is BFF’s with. She is not at all happy with Drake for what he did and threatens to tell the Trag’s. She takes the cube and tells Drake to come with her. Taylor watches them leave and she is quite upset.

She takes Drake out to the middle of nowhere and has him dig up Beaumont’s body. The plan is to put the cube in Beaumont’s body with black Cypher in it. It will multiply and the spores will spread throughout the town killing the humans. Drake is hesitant for a moment and then commits to the plan.

The only interaction Emery and Roman have is at the end of the episode. They see each other before Roman has to get back to the Sector for curfew. He says it is nice to see her outside of school, if only for a moment.
