HELIX – 1.08 ‘Bloodlines’ A New Head in the Garden.

Look out! Vectors are in the ceiling and these guys have acquired some mad skills. Did anyone notice the x-ray vision? It appears they are planning a mass attack via the food. These dudes are showing signs of working together.

Meanwhile Julia’s got some major munchies and now she’s a practical jokester! Did Hitake put a little something extra in her injection? Julia and Jordan share a little bonding moment, however I don’t think Jordan was prepared for the big Silver Eye Reveal. Dr. Walker manages to escape her imprisonment by Consance via the air ducts. She encounters the infected along the way and yes, her Vector Whisperer Powers remain intact.

Jordan continues her tour of the ventilation system and manages to plan a rescue operation for Hitake at Alan and Jordan’s prompting. She frees Hitake only to be rewarded by more foolhardy deception which results in her recapture by Constance just as she discovers Hitake is her Father. NOOO! Vader’s got nothing on Hiro!

Constance is relaxing in Hitake’s office and is perusing his obsession album and is confounded by Julia’s significance.  In a moment of weakness shares with Lt. Klein. However, the uncertainty is short lived when she “appropriates” Julia as Ilaria’s property.

Constance continues her chaos and questions Hitake who, as usual, only provides cryptic responses. Sutton does give us a juicy tidbit in the form of “The Willis Hypothesis”  He also reveals to us her real name Hanna Mayud. The plot thickens. Seeing the two of them face off reminds me of the paradox of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.

Alan is angry and confronts the handcuffed Hitake without success for the truth.  Later in the lab, Alan grows a pair he conspires with Jordan to create a booby-trap for Sutton. Way to go! The failure streak  continues when his explosion does not kill Constance. The pair manage to escape but are quickly out-matched when Sutton threatens Alan with Peter’s eminent demise. Thanks to quick thinking and some McGyver action these two rock! What a team!

Sutton survives the explosion and Angry Constance is unfun to say the least. Her bid to destroy Peter goes off the rails in a major way when she is attacked by a Jordan’s sound cannon paired with swarming vectors. In the melee Peter is abducted by the Vectors.

No worries, Constance has her prize in the form of Julia and plans to blow this Pop-Stand. And, unlike most ladies, she only needs five minutes to pack. And, that was just enough time for Hitake to strangle her to death. Bye, bye Constance. Your head will make a great edition to the White Room.

Meeksa/Daniel continues his quest for information with Anana. She takes him to Sergio’s holding room and the two men begin to bicker like siblings. Anana referees the outburst and Balleseros reveals his true motives at Arctic Biosystems. He was part of the Child Abduction Ring and wants to atone.  A guilty conscience is worse than any prison sentence. Which proves my theory that he is a softie after all and makes me want to hug the stuffings out of him. This is confirmed when he aids Anana in her escape leaving himself behind for capture.

• Balleseros admits the truth and he was part of the Child Abduction Ring.
• Julia is Hitake’s daughter.
• Constance and Hiro were once lovers and her real name is Hanna Mayud.

• What was in the bag that Balleseros made sure to place on the snowmobile when he helped Anana escape?

• What is Julia, that Constance would refer to her as an abomination?
