Your New Guilty Pleasure: Syfy’s BITTEN

By  |

The new Canadian series Bitten, based on the supernatural book series “Otherworld” by author Kelley Armstrong, will debut on Syfy on Monday, January 13 at 10 PM after the season premieres of returning sci-fi favorites Lost Girl (at 8 PM) and Being Human (at 9 PM).

The series stars actress Laura Vandervoort, best known for her role of Kara on Smallville and her role of Lisa on the short-lived remake of V, as Elena Michaels, a woman living in Toronto who has a secret: she is the only female werewolf in existence.

Years ago Elena left her pack, going to Toronto to work as a photographer, where she is tried to keep the truth about herself a secret. But she is now being drawn back in by her packmaster Jeremy Danvers, who will be portrayed by actor Greg Bryk (a series regular on the Canadian series XIII: The Series) to help solve a series of murders. In returning to the pack, she is reunited with her ex-lover Clay Danvers, who will be portrayed by Greyston Holt (from Alcatraz and Durham County), the son of her packmaster.

The cast will also include Paul Greene (who has guest starred in episodes of NCIS and The Client List) as Philip McAdams, Steve Lund (who was the Colorado Kid on the Syfy series Haven) as Nick Sorrentino, Michael Xavier (who has appeared in episodes of Nikita, Rookie Blue and Covert Affairs) as Logan Jonsen and Genelle Williams (best known as Leena on the Syfy series Warehouse 13) as Rachel.
