The Good Wife – 5.11 ‘Goliath and David’ – Will and “The Dress”

Women, once again, have Eli scrambling.

We begin with Marilyn and Eli facing off over her choice of baby names. And…in comes Kalinda who is tasked with the job of ferriting out the truth of the baby-daddy. Eli is smelling a potential scandal. Problem is, the scandal was one he didn’t anticipate. Watching Eil walking down the hall completely gobsmacked was beautiful. And, Oh, by the way, the father of Marilyin’s baby is none other than Peter Bogdonovich.  Who knew?

The Partners are bickering like infants fighting over a new toy. Again. It seems Damian and Will planning the future of LG in a bar is a tad too forward thinking for Diane. Ms. Lockhart quickly puts the kibosh on the whole matter despite Damian’s manipulation of Capt. Underpants Howard.
How does that man find his way to work each day?

Will eventually wins the day when Diane’s reality check of his frantic maneuvering fails. That is one smart woman. I feel she is just giving her partner enough rope to hang himself. Diane knows when to let go of a lost cause and obviously for Will, love is more than blind. Deaf and dumb came along for the ride.

Enter Mr. Earl Preston and his infringement case. Will offers to help on the grounds of, shared enemies. Mr. Gardner’s plan of throwing Alicia off her pace backfires BIG TIME when Alicia wears “The Dress.” All the wheels fell right off his wagon the moment those legs hit his line of sight.  I don’t know about you, but I am loving all those beautiful flashbacks!

Watching Alicia out maneuver Will and seeing her victorious in her new endeavor as Florrick / Agos is exhilarating. Cary is thanking his lucky stars and the two of them make an incredible team. No wonder LG is scrambling.

Observations:

• Damien Boyle is hiding something, and I bet it’s a doozy.

• The whole Kalinda and Jenna storyline is just aggravating.

• Our newbie Robyn knocks it out of the park again. Go girl!

• Alicia may have met her limit with Peter when the threat of yet another scandal.
