Merry Christmas 2013!

By  |

This is my – WOW! – 5th Christmas as a contributor here at NiceGirlsTV and what a wonderful and amazing five years it has been. I am thankful to have had so many great years to work with the fantastic staff at this website and look forward to many more years yet to come.

Each Thanksgiving we all give thanks for the important people and things in our lives and each Christmas season we make our wish list for Santa; and this year will be no different for me. And even though it is now Christmas Eve, each of us can still hope that jolly ole St. Nick will know exactly what we want for the big day, right?

With that hope firmly in place, I am going to make another wish list of some of the “things” I would most love to receive for Christmas even if it’s for future Christmases:

Lizzie Bennet DVD

Lizzie Bennet DVD

1. The Lizzie Bennet Diaries – This online series – which recently was honored with an Emmy Award, I might add! – aired a new episode online every Monday and Thursday from April 9, 2012 through March 28, 2013. The 100-episode web series was made into a DVD collection that was to be provided to certain kickstarter campaign contributors, but has yet to be made available to the mass public; and I am hopeful that the DVD set will be released soon so I can add it to my collection.

Nikita

Nikita

2. Nikita (The CW Series) – The fourth and final season of Nikita, the rebooted TV series from The CW, will run its course on December 27, bringing an end to one of the most overlooked but one of the best female-empowered TV shows in recent TV history. And while a box set has yet to be created for this series, I await the day that Warner Home Video puts one together, making it available to its worldwide fans.

Sarah McLachlan

Sarah McLachlan

3. New 2014 Sarah McLachlan Album – Since 1988 this immensely popular Canadian singer-songwriter-musician has been recording music that is moving, captivating and powerful. I have been a fan of Sarah’s since the early 1990’s, owning a copy of all of her albums as well as her greatest hits albums and all of her special compilations; and I cannot wait for the new album to be released.

Castle

Castle

4. Castle – The ABC series led by my personal favorite actor Nathan Fillion hasn’t released a box set yet – and, believe it or not, I don’t have any of the individual seasons on DVD – but I am hopeful that the folks over at ABC Studios will create a box set eventually so that the show’s worldwide fans can get their hands on it.

The Jane Austen Diaries

The Jane Austen Diaries

5. The Jane Austen Diaries by Jenni James – Over the last few years, author Jenni James has published six books based on the characters by classic author Jane Austen, including “Pride & Popularity” released in 2011; “Northanger Alibi” and “Persuaded” both released in 2012; “Emmalee” and “Mansfield Ranch” both released in 2013 and the 2014 “Sensible & Sensational”. I am also a sucker for any good Jane Austen-esque book series and I would really like to add this to the many others that I have purchased over the years.

So, there you have it, my top 5 must-have items that I would love to receive for Christmas future. What are some items you would love to find under your tree tomorrow or in the years to come.

Happy Holidays to all of our readers!!
