Lady Jayne simply cannot be convinced by Browning on Alexander’s true nature. How is it possible for this woman to be so wilfully obtuse concerning her quarry when one glance at Lucy pierces her deepest hearts pain? Come on already! No one is that besotted! However, watching her play on Lucy’s affections was akin to a spider playing with a fly. Nicely done.

When Lucy takes the leap and reveals her true feelings they were not reciprocated. In fact, Mina felt betrayed which was exactly as Lady Jayne had intended. Point for the Vampire Hunter. She may not notice Alexander is a Vampire, but by golly jealousy is something she’s got nailed.

Mina delights in card tricks and when Vlad loosens his purse strings to pay for their meal, Miss Murray’s corset opens as well, much to Jonathan’s pleasure. My, my so much is happening, but a doctor in training’s work is never done and Mina discovers another “odd” blood sample in Van Helsing’s lab. I was beginning to suspect that Abraham was allowing Mina to find such things for a purpose yet revealed until he broke out the hammer to bash her head in. Hello! Crystal clear now. Thank you very much!

Lord Davenport is still plotting Lord Grayson’s downfall, which wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t operating as if he was conducting his revenge on The Orders behalf. Anyone care to bet who kills him first? The Order, or Vlad?

I am truly convinced that Van Helsing is a closet sadist. “You will experience some discomfort.” My fanny! And, that nightmare of a contraption he created! Holy Hannah!  A Syringe Circle of Death! That thing deserves a name of it’s own! Good GAWD!
