The Good Wife – 5.09 ‘Whak-A-Mole’ Someone Wins A Prize!

The more things change, the more they stay the same regardless which law firm you work for. The resemblance is more akin to kindergarden antics as opposed to professional employees. As usual, the referees of the silly circus fall to Alicia and Diane. I’m thinking Diane has the harder task with Tweedle – Evil’s in the form of David Lee and Howard Lyman.

Damien Boyle the self described simple small town layer is anything but, and Wil’s impetuous decision creates chaos among the Partners. However, Damien soon wins the fella’s over with a college prank on the fledgling Florrick / Agos. But, Diane’s far from charmed and tasks Kalinda with finding all Mr. Boyles dirty little secrets. Poor guy. You can almost feel sorry for him after he insulted her during his interview. Damien’s gonna beg for mercy when Kalinda finishes her investigation.

Jackie battles Eli once again and this guy can’t catch a break. Mama Florrick takes Mr. Gold to the cleaners over Rachel Kaiser and he grossly underestimated Jackie’s skills. Perhaps he should take a decorating tip or two from her next time. Age does have it’s advantages.

Alicia and Will finally face off against one another in court and despite LG being bolstered by the flamboyant Mr. Boyle, Alicia completely spanked Will. This was the first time since everything fell apart in which Will actually  seemed engaged! Fancy that! And, Did you notice the fire in Ms. Florrick’s  eyes? She practically lit up!  Iron always sharpens iron and anytime the two of them appear together everyone is strengthened.
