PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: Roundup of Last Three Episodes

Due to family celebrations and what-not I’d gotten about three episodes behind on Pretty Little Liars, so I binged yesterday before last night’s airing of “Into the Deep”.  Catching up has been a ride, let me tell you! So much has been happening, and I completely missed the Ravenswood episode until yesterday.

Rather than writing a really long post about the last four episodes I’ve decided to draw up a punch list of the things we’ve learned since Hannah was caught burying that gun.

1. Ashley was arrested for the murder of Wilden and although we know she didn’t kill him, she finally revealed that she did meet with him that night.
2. Wilden took the gun from Ashley before she left him that night.
3. Wilden was the one who set the fire in the cottage with the girls still inside.
4. As Hannah tries to help her mother, she turns to Mona. Mona preps Hannah for confessing to the murder of Wilden in self-defense, then ends up turning herself into the police instead.
5. Spencer and Toby still won’t let the girls in on their investigation into the death of Toby’s mother, which causes strife between the girls and Spencer.
6. Toby learns that there was a blonde girl visiting with his mother regularly while she was at Radley.
7. Spencer finds a file containing a police report written by Wilden which contained lies about the night Toby’s mother died.
8. Toby and Spencer go to Ravenswood to find Mrs. Grunwald.
9. Grunwald tells them nothing at all and denies knowing anything about Alison.
10. Spencer sees Shana in Ravenswood, Before she can talk to her, Shana leaves in Jenna’s car, but Jenna is almost completely blind again, so who was driving that car?
11. Aria is marked for the rumor mill after she tries to tutor one of Mike’s friends. After Mike confronts the guy, his car is smashed and vandalized. Mike is blamed by the guy’s parents who want to bring charges up against Mike.
12. When Emily steals the keys to Wilden’s apartment from a box that her mother was responsible for, her mother is suspended without pay.
13. A driverless car plows through Emily’s living room, narrowly missing her mother. This incident is still under investigation.
14. Toby and Caleb join forces to try and find out where/who A is once and for all. Going to the air field where the small plane flew in and out from the night of the fire, they discover that the person who requested the flight was Cece Drake.
15. Aria and Spencer overhear Jenna and Shana talking about Ali and something that Jenna knows about the night she died. Later at a party thrown for Emily by Paige, Jenna is found face down in the lake. She had been hit on the head.
16. When Spencer goes to see Jenna in the hospital she runs into Shana who finally tells her who it is that Jenna has been so afraid of. It’s Cece Drake.
17. Mona ends up back at Radley, in the same room she was in before.

So far this season A has been targeting the girls’ families. Hannah’s mother, Aria’s brother and mother, Emily’s family. Emily’s career appears to be over before it had even begun. Spencer’s hopes for college have been dashed. We still don’t know who Red Coat is, nor do we know who A really is, though it looks like the two are totally separate. We do know that Cece is involved heavily, so our suspicions were confirmed about her.

At the end of “Into the Deep” we saw Red Coat outside a house and someone was looking out the upper floor window. When the light in the house go out, Red Coat goes to a spot under the front porch which she opens up to reveal a hidden space. Does it go inside the house? Who’s house was that? I couldn’t tell but maybe one of you lovely readers know?

After we see Red Coat the scene switches to the black hoodie/black gloves person who is playing some music on a piano. After playing a few notes, the person closes up the sheet music in an envelope with Toby’s name on it.

Red Coat. Black Hoodie. Two separate people. Arg!

So why did Mona put herself back into Radley? What is she planning? It was obviously where she wanted to be but why?

Next week’s episode is titled “The Mirror Has Three Faces”, Emily may have a new home, Hannah reaches her limit, Aria moves forward with Jake and Spencer and Toby deal with A’s latest barb.
