Style Story: Sarah Walker Wears Purple
I was looking through some photos of Sarah Walker from Chuck recently, and noticed that she had a lot of purple in her wardrobe. Black, definitely, but also lots of purple. Yvonne Strahovski looks amazing in every shade of that color, so it makes sense that it was a big part of Sarah’s wardrobe.
Traditionally the color of royalty, purple is a symbol of riches, the exotic, and the mysterious. Sounds like Sarah Walker to me! From plum to royal, electric to lavender, purple adds a bit of femininity and richness to her sporty, often utilitarian needs. As part of our Style Story series, I put together a few sets on Polyvore inspired by Sarah Walker’s purple passion.
Undercover missions often required the CIA agent to dress in formal wear, presenting a challenge of needing to blend into her environment but also have the ability to deliver a roundhouse kick without splitting a seam. These draped, short cocktail dresses with just a bit of embellishment meet both needs.
Black jeans and knee-high boots are staples of Sarah’s wardrobe. The jeans have a bit of stretch, for good range of motion, and the boots…well, they look good and nothing beats a stiletto heel as an impromptu weapon. Coupled with minimalist but feminine jewelry and simple tank tops in a range of purple shades, Sarah is ready to get down to business in Castle and out.
And that’s just the tip of the dusky lilac iceberg! There’s a bridesmaid dress, bikini, “work” dresses, long-sleeve shirts, and more. Purple is definitely Sarah’s color.
