This week was the opposite of last week. It was a slow TV week and I was only able to come up with four mention worthy moments. Be sure to hit the comments below and let me know if I missed any of your favorites.
1. Rookie Blue – My favorite returning Summer Show is back. Woo Hoo! Sam and Andy are great on screen together even when they aren’t a couple. Although after watching Andy and Nick undercover together I am wondering if it is just in fact Missy Peregrym that has chemistry with everyone.
2. Saturday Night Live – Bill Hader bid farewell to SNL this week and he did so in fabulous fashion. Watching Stefan on Weekend Update was one of the better skits the show had lately. Whether you are a fan of the show or not Bill Hader was always entertaining to watch. I’ll miss his multitude of characters.
3. So You Think You Can Dance – Can we take a moment to talk about what was going on with Mary Murphy’s hair? I know, I know, everything is bigger in Texas but she looked like she was perhaps wearing a poodle or two on her head. For someone, who while over the top, is still always so put together that was unexpected.
4. Bates Motel – It took all season but Norman Bates finally became, well, Norman Bates. The season had a few extra side stories I could have done without but Freddie Highmore never disappointed as the at times likeable at times creepy Norman. Now that Norman has his first kill it will be interesting to see where the show goes next season.
So there you go – that’s my list. Did I miss anything?

Nashville had some terrific moments in the season finale – Juliette finally accepting comfort for her grief, and acknowledging that she’s both relieved and heartbroken that her mother is gone, drove me to tears. Deacon falling off the wagon was also heartbreaking. Loved, loved, loved the scene at the end when he and Rayna were fighting in the car, as music played over their words. We couldn’t hear a thing they said, but the raw emotion on display was incredible.
I just watched Nashville this morning. It was a great season finale…I may have shed a tear or two myself.
