Week In Review: TV’s Top Moments

By  |

This was a busy TV week and there were a number of finale episodes. Some shows definitely saved their best for last so I have a few more than five top moments. Be sure to hit the comments below and let me know if I missed any of your favorites.

1. Elementary – Well played Elementary, well played. In a show that dared to make Watson a girl – something I think is working out splendidly – they went there and made Irene Adler, Sherlock’s one true love, also be Moriarty.

2. NCIS: LA – Deeks and Kensi kissed! Not only that they kissed as themselves and not as some undercover assignment. I’d be super happy if the episode – which was the season finale – hadn’t have ended with Deeks being tortured.NCIS LA, CBS

3. The Mindy Project – Speaking of kisses, the almost kiss between Danny and Mindy to bring their freshman season to an end was pretty darn fantastic. A close second was Pastor Casey’s proposal to Mindy. “I just had a rap sesh with the notorious G-O-D. Know what ‘G said? That’s your girl dude.” Anders Holm plays the part perfectly. If you think he is as funny as I do you should check him out on his Comedy Central show Workaholics.

4. The Vampire Diaries – There were a lot of great moments in this finale but keeping in the above theme of love I’m going with Niklaus Mikaelson for my favorite. “Tyler is now free to return to Mystic Falls … he’s your first love. I intend to be your last. However long it takes.” Honestly even if you aren’t Team Klaus/Caroline you have to admit that line was remarkable. Just typing it made me smirk. It was just so…him. The Vampire Diaries, CW

5. Scandal – So Shonda Rhimes, as I have stated before, is an emotional terrorist. That woman just kills me. The finale was full of heartbreak, betrayal and general badassery – it’s a word – but the best part for me was finding out Jake’s boss, the head of the shadowy CIA black ops division, is actually Olivia’s dad.

6. The Office – Michael Scott made his return and brought with him his signature line, “That’s what she said.” A line that said by anyone else these days is just groan worthy, when Michael Scott says it after being away for so long it is beautiful. The series finale was actually beautiful. Pretty perfect as far as swan songs go.The Office, NBC

7. Person of Interest – This is more about Sarah Shahi than the show. If you didn’t hear the news Person of Interest made Sarah Shahi a series regular for their upcoming third season. This is fabulous news. Ever since Sarah first appeared on Alias as Will Tipon’s (Bradley Cooper) assistant I have loved her. She is that great combination of pretty and capable. Having her in the mix on Person of Interest will be so much fun to watch.

So there you go – that’s my list. Did I miss anything?
