DATING IN LA AND OTHER URBAN MYTHS: Casting Updates

By  |

Additions to the cast of the proposed web series Dating in LA and Other Urban Myths will certainly make TV fans sit up and take notice.

Who are the new cast members, you ask?

None other than actor Kristoffer Polaha – best known for his recent work on Ringer and Life Unexpected – as well as actress Tamara Taylor, who has been appearing on Bones since its second season way back in 2006.

RINGER

Kristoffer will play the character Alex, an intelligent, handsome man who is incredibly supportive of his long-term, live-in girlfriend, Penelope (Lesley Fera). He is a psychology professor who finds himself taking on the role of big brother for Penelope’s friends—in particular Kate (Patricia Steffy), as she stumbles her way into re-entering the dating world after a lengthy relationship (no small feat given that Los Angeles is where dating comes to die). Alex is often the voice of reason, but finds himself in the frustrating position of having to defend modern dating customs even though he doesn’t practice them himself.

Tamara

Meanwhile, Tamara will play Sadie, a waitress/wannabe celebrity, who has a certain moral flexibility and is very matter of fact about what (and who) she wants in life. The fact that she has passed the optimal ‘It Girl’ age has not put a damper on her enthusiasm for the task. She finds Kate’s reluctance to join the Los Angeles social scene puzzling and her attitudes toward sex archaic — and isn’t afraid to tell her just that.
