NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Theo James

Some Nice Boys are good looking. Some Nice Boys are talented. Our Nice Boy this week, Theo James, is both.

Theo James was born Theodore Peter J. K. Taptiklis in Oxfordshire. He is English on his mother’s side and Greek on his fathers.

Theo received a degree in Theology from the University of Nottingham before going on to Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He was still enrolled in theater school when he was cast in You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger which started Anthony Hopkins and Naomi Watts among others.

If you are a Downton Abbey fan, and really why wouldn’t you be, you will remember Theo as the Turkish Diplomat who died in Lady Mary’s bed in season one.

He went on to star in the BBC syfy drama Bedlam before getting cast alongside Kate Bekinsale in Underworld: Awakening.

Most recently he can be seen playing opposite Chi McBride in the CBS show Golden Boy. A drama about the meteoric rise of an ambitious cop who becomes the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City.

When he has the time he sings and plays guitar with the London-based band Shere Khan.
