ARROW: Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston To Recur

TV viewers know her best as River Song on the British sensation that is Doctor Who, but now actress Alex Kingston will be seen in the DC-comics based CW series Arrow, playing Dinah Lance, the mother of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and ex-wife to Detective Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne).

Dinah will be coming back to Starling City to attempt to make amends with the family that she abandoned after the tragic death of daughter Sarah on the Queen’s Gambit, the luxury yacht owed by the Queen family who presumably perished with her until Oliver (Stephen Amell), the rich family’s son was found after five years of being presumed missing and lost at sea.’

This will be a recurring role that is set to start later this season.
