NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Daniel Lissing
Actor Daniel Lissing is our Nice Boy of the Week.
Daniel was born in Sydney, Australia and he got his start on Australian TV in 2006 by guest starring in several episodes of the popular ‘down under’ soap opera Home and Away where he played firefighter Dave Elder.
It was two years later that he appeared in three episodes of the Australian soap opera Out of the Blue, playing Angus “Tiger” McKinon and then had a guest role, playing Heath in two episodes of the Australian dramedy Packed to the Rafters.
During that same year, Daniel appeared in two Australia short films Whiteline and Multiple Choice, both comedies. The following year he appeared in another comedy short film called The Game and also guest starred in one episode of the Australian crime drama Cops: L.A.C.
In 2010, he appeared in two more short films, both dramas; the first called Entwined which was an Australian take on the Bollywood musicals, and Fidelity.
It should be noted that Daniel is a popular singer/songwriter, who has performed to packed houses all over Sydney. He has also performed for Australian troops serving overseas in East Timor (Pacific Islands) and also saluted for his peacekeeping efforts by the Australian Defense Force.
Last year, he appeared in a little less than two dozen episodes of the Australian legal drama Crownies. And then this current TV season he landed his first role on an American series, but sadly it was on the soon-to-end ABC drama Last Resort.
Daniel also has two upcoming films in the works; both thrillers. The first being The Cure and the other called John Doe for which he will star alongside Battlestar Galactica star Jamie Bamber.
He was also chosen this past summer by Inside Film magazine as one of Australia’s Rising Talents and Australia’s TV Week magazine included him in their recent Australia’s “Sexiest Blokes on Television” issue.
