November TV Calendar
The following list provides the cable series that are returning for the rest of their new season, the finales that will air on the major and cable networks, the holiday made-for-TV movies on the cable networks and the special that will air during November:
November 3 – The Hallmark Channel movie Christmas Song will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When budget cuts force the merger of two New York City high schools, music teachers Diana (Natasha Henstridge from The Secret Circle) and Ken (Gabriel Hogan from Heartland) aim to compete in the largest, televised Christmas Carol competition that will determine the fate of the school’s music program and the teachers’ jobs. In a heated battle of the sexes and music styles, the teachers and their students will do anything to win, but suddenly realize an unexpected romance and the true spirit of Christmas could change the competition.
November 3 – The Lifetime movie The Eleventh Victim will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Hailey Dean (Jennie Garth from What I Like About You) is a formidable Assistant District Attorney who goes head-to-head with some of Atlanta’s most vicious felons. She tirelessly pursues each and every case, especially the conviction of serial killer Clinton Burrell Cruise (Colin Cunningham from Falling Skies), working closely with Detective Garlan Fincher. The case becomes personal for Hailey when she is attacked by Cruise in open court. Still recovering physically and mentally from Cruise’s attempt to strangle her, Hailey moves to New York and begins a new career as a therapist. When her clients start to turn up dead one by one – with the murderer using the same M.O. as the Atlanta serial killer she put behind bars – she is forced back into the dark world she left behind in Atlanta to help catch a cold-blooded killer who could very well make her his next target.
November 4 – Left to Die is the new Lifetime movie that will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Barbara Hershey (Beaches) stars in this based on a true story movie as Sandra Chase, who bravely agrees to accompany a friend to Ecuador for a much needed vacation; but paradise quickly turns to misery when she is accosted at the airport in Quito and is unjustly imprisoned for drug trafficking. With no trial or any recourse, Sandra is sent to a women’s prison with subpar living conditions and is terrorized by the other inmates. Meanwhile, Sandra’s daughter Tammi (Rachael Leigh Cook from Perception) is vigilantly working on getting her mother released from prison with limited knowledge of the laws and legal processes of Ecuador. Unwavering in her belief of her mother’s innocence, Tammi is forced to drain her life savings while fighting with embassies and governments as she races against time to save her mother. In Tammi’s determined fight for justice, she recruits a U.S. Congresswoman, Rep. Corinne Brown, and together they prevail in securing Sandra’s release.
November 4 – The final episode of the six-part mini-series Call the Midwife will air on PBS at 8 PM
November 4 – The movie Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: As Chicago gears up for its annual Thanksgiving Day parade, Emily Jones (Autumn Reeser from Last Resort), an eager parade coordinator is shocked when Henry Williams (Antonio Cupo from Bomb Girls), a wealthy new development consultant, is brought in to analyze the parade’s finances. Faced with the challenge of teaching him that the parade means so much more to her than dollar signs, she suddenly finds herself reluctantly falling for him. Film co-stars Ben Cotton (Alcatraz).
November 7 – The finale of the mini-series World Without End will air on Reelz Channel at 8 PM
November 8 – Burn Notice will be back with a two-hour fall premiere on the USA Network, starting tonight at 9 PM
November 10 – The Hallmark Channel movie The Wishing Tree will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Alone on an empty campus over winter break, a heartbroken teacher (Jason Gedrick from Desperate Housewives) helps his most troubled students (Amitai Marmorstein from Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, Richard Harmon from The Killing and newcomer Emmalyn Estrada) regain confidence when they all volunteer at a small town’s Wishing Tree, a Christmas tree covered with handwritten holiday hopes, which doubles as a fundraiser for local families in need. Film co-stars Erica Cerra (Eureka) and Teryl Rothery (Stargate SG1 and Kyle XY).
November 10 – The new Lifetime original movie The Christmas Consultant will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: David Hasselhoff (Baywatch)stars as a sought after consultant hired by a workaholic mother (Caroline Rhea from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) to get her and her family through the holidays. What she doesn’t bargain for are his taking over her role as head of the household and when Christmas and family collide, she realizes hiring him was the best decision she has ever made.
November 10 – The season finale of Bedlam will air at 9 PM on BBC America
November 11 – The final airing of the new season of Upstairs Downstairs will air on PBS as part of their Masterpiece Classic movie airings at 9 PM
November 11 – The Science Channel special Browncoats Unite will air at 10 PM
SPECIAL SYNOPSIS: This is a one-hour reunion special for the 10th anniversary of Firefly, featuring the cast reunion at Comic-Con and an in-depth roundtable interview with the cast. The special will include Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher and writer Jose Molina. There will also be a Firefly marathon before-hand.
November 15 – Burn Notice moves to its regular timeslot of 10 PM on the USA Network
November 17 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Matchmaker Santa will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lacey Chabert (Party of Five and Mean Girls) stars as Melanie, a young baker with a long-standing childhood Christmas wish of finding her true love, is excited about visiting her boyfriend’s lake house over the holidays. But when a mysterious mall Santa interferes and her travel plans get mixed up, she finds herself stranded in a charming town with her boyfriend’s handsome assistant (Adam Mayfield from All My Children) and a quirky cast of locals (Florence Henderson from The Brady Bunch, John Ratzenberger from Cheers and Lin Shaye from There’s Something About Mary). There, she rediscovers the magic of Christmas and finds her true prince charming has been there all along.
November 17 – Holiday High School Reunion is the new Lifetime movie that will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Rachel Boston (In Plain Sight) stars as Georgia, who returns home during Christmas just in time for her high school reunion, where she hopes to reunite with “the one that got away.” Through flashbacks her high school experience plays out as Georgia discovers that maybe the one who got away was instead the one who was there all along. Marilu Henner (Taxi) and Harry Hamlin (Veronica Mars and LA Law) co-star.
November 18 – The Hallmark Channel new movie It’s Christmas, Carol will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Carol (Emmanuelle Vaugier from Lost Girl), the ruthless CEO of a publishing company is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of her former boss, Eve (Carrie Fisher from Star Wars), who takes her on a journey through her past, present and future. Seeing all the unhappiness she has caused in her own life as well as those around her, she realizes she must make a change in this contemporary twist on Dickens’ story, A Christmas Carol.
November 18 – Holiday Spin is the new Lifetime movie that will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid) stars as a former dance champion sidelined years ago by an injury; but when his estranged son comes to live with him, he enlists his help in preparing for the “Holiday Spin,” a ballroom dance contest which takes place every Christmas Eve. Through teamwork, love and holiday cheer — and some pretty fancy dance moves by both father and son — they do what it takes to win the grand prize. Erika Eleniak (Baywatch), relative newcomer Garrett Clayton and Karen Olivo (Harry’s Law) co-star.
November 19 – A special Christmas episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager will air on ABC Family at 8 PM, preceded by an all-day marathon of the series beginning at 11 AM that morning
November 20 – Covert Affairs airs its season finale on USA Network at 10 PM
November 23 – The original GMC movie Heartland Christmas (based on the TV series) will debut at 7 PM (with encores at 9 PM and 11 PM)
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lou (Michelle Morgan) is on the verge of a nervous breakdown as she tries to put the “happy” back in Christmas with an open house and the building of the “perfect” Christmas tree so she doesn’t have to think about missing her first Christmas without Peter. When Ty gets an anonymous phone call that an avalanche has trapped a dozen horses and they will starve to death without help, Amy (Amber Marshall) climbs quickly on board to give Ty (Graham Wardle) the assistance he needs in rescuing the horses, but this ends up being a bigger task then they first imagined. An impossible task alone, Amy, Ty, Jack (Shaun Johnston) and Tim (Chris Potter) must convince the community to build bridges instead of burning them and to work together.
November 24 – Christmas Angel is the new GMC movie that will debut at 7 PM (with encores at 9 PM and 11 PM)
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A young girl tries to prove that the mysterious old lady next door is really an angel, when some of the Christmas wishes of the neighborhood kids start coming true. The cast includes Della Reese, Teri Polo, Kevin Sorbo and Tamera Mowry-Housley.
November 24 – The new Lifetime movie The March Sisters at Christmas will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Julie Marie Berman (General Hospital) as eldest sister, Jo March, in a contemporary take of the timeless novel “Little Women”, which follows the sisters (that includes Kaitlin Doubleday from Drop Dead Diva, Melissa Farman from Lost and relative newcomer Molly Kunz) as they fight to save their family home, Orchard House, and search for love during Christmas time. Justin Bruening (Switched at Birth) and John Shea (Gossip Girl) co-star.
November 24 – The Hallmark Channel movie Naughty or Nice will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Holiday humbug Krissy Kringle (Hilarie Burton from White Collar) receives a special delivery intended for Santa Claus – the “Naughty or Nice” book he left behind while visiting a child – and uses the power of the book to expose the naughty deeds of those around her, but soon finds that her newfound power isn’t always so nice. Film co-stars Matt Dallas (Kyle XY), Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross (both from Family Ties).
November 25 – The original Lifetime movie Love at the Christmas Table will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years) stars in this romantic holiday story about two best friends – Sam (Dustin Mulligan from 90210) and Katherine (McKellar) who have spent every Christmas at the children’s table since they were toddlers. They grew up together sharing the highs and lows of young adulthood. Now nearly 30 years later, Sam realizes Katherine is the one…but he is afraid that the past will get in his way. Lea Thompson (Switched at Birth) and Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls) co-star.
November 25 – The Lifetime original movie Liz and Dick will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lindsay Lohan will star as the legendary late actress Elizabeth Taylor while Grant Bowler (True Blood) will play her husband, the late great Richard Burton.
November 25 – Hitched for the Holidays is the new Hallmark Channel movie that will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A commitment-phobia leads single New Yorker, Rob (Joey Lawrence from Melissa & Joey), to hire a temporary girlfriend, Julie (Emily Hampshire from Cosmopolis), to make his family happy over the holidays. As the lonely twosome uses each other as dates to holiday parties and family get-togethers, they realize their fake feelings might be real, and are led to overcome their fear of falling in love just in time for the New Year. The film co-stars Marilu Henner (Taxi).
November 25 – The ABC Family movie Home Alone: The Holiday Heist will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film stars Christian Martyn (XIII The Series) as 8-year-old Finn who is left home alone with his sister (Jodelle Ferland from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) while their parents are stranded across town. The cast includes Malcolm McDowell (Franklin & Bash), Debi Mazar (Entourage) and Eddie Steeples (My Name is Earl) as a group of thieves who target Finn’s house.
November 25 – The season finale of Treme will air on HBO at 10 PM
November 25 – Downton Abbey Revisited will air (for one and a half hours) on PBS at 8 PM
SPECIAL SYNOPSIS: This special will cover the first two seasons of this worldwide phenomenon, including cast interviews, rare behind-the-scenes footage and a sneak peek at what’s in store for the Crawleys as they enter the Roaring Twenties.
November 25 – The original movie Golden Christmas 3 will air on ION at 9 PM (check local listings for exact airtime)
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Heather is a charming, free spirit and Bobby is a naval officer home from serving overseas. Thanks to three golden retrievers, Bobby’s spirited 11-year-old niece, Myra, and a fun-filled theatre production of “A Christmas Carol,” these two unlucky and unlikely people end up falling in love at Christmas. The film stars Shantel VanSanten (One Tree Hill), Rob Mayes (Janey By Design), Orson Bean (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman), Mark Famiglietti (Terminator 3), Nikki Deloach (Awkward.) and Maxim Knight (Falling Skies).
November 26 – Revolution will air its fall finale on NBC at 10 PM [Note: The show will then take a four-month hiatus, returning with new episodes on March 25]
November 27 – Rizzoli & Isles is back on TNT for a 5-episode run starting tonight at 9 PM and Leverage will be back for more of its current season at 10 PM
November 28 – The next new season of The Hour will premiere on BBC America at 9 PM
November 30 – Nikita will be back with new episodes on The CW at its new time 8 PM
