ALPHAS Announces Upcoming Guest Cast
The second season of the Syfy series Alphas will return on Monday, July 23 at 10/9c with quite an interesting group of guest stars that will includes a familiar face or two.
First let’s take a look at who will be coming back:
Summer Glau (Dollhouse and Firefly) will return as Skylar Adams, a fellow Alpha who possesses a 200+ IQ and is an electronics mastermind, who quickly became a fan favorite, will be back for three new episodes;
John Pyper-Ferguson (Brothers & Sisters and Caprica) will reprise his recurring role of Stanton Parish, the “Perfect Alpha”;
Kathleen Munroe (Haven and Stargate Universe) will be back as Dr. Rosen’s (David Strathairn) daughter, Dani, an empath Alpha who can transfer emotions from herself to others and is secretly a follower of Stanton Parish; and,
Mahershala Ali (The 4400) returns as Nathan Clay, the head of a tactical unit within the U.S. Department of Defense tasked with dealing with rogue Alphas.
As for the new guest stars, they include:
Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings franchise) will play Roland, an Alpha who has a bizarrely absorptive brain, which allows him to assume the memories of anyone close to him and then replay them like a tape recorder;
C. Thomas Howell (Southland) will play Eli Aquino, an intense Alpha with super-speed who is bent on revenge;
Lauren Holly (NCIS) will play Senator Charlotte Burton, a government official with mysterious ties to a member of the Alphas team;
Steve Byers (Against the Wall) will play John Bennett, a new member of the tactical team from the U.S. Department of Defense assigned to the Alphas team;
Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica) will play Agnes, an attractive but distant Alpha with the ability to see into people’s minds merely by touching them; and
Noah Reid (Rookie Blue) will play Adam Gordon a young man grief-stricken by the death of his young sister, Maggie, who becomes convinced she is alive and in need of his help.
Needless to say, viewers of Alphas have a lot to look forward to. Make sure to tune in for the season premiere on July 23 at 10/9c on Syfy.
