NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Drew Roy

By  |

The Nice Boy of the Week this week is actor Drew Roy, who is best known for his current role of Hal Mason on the hit alien invasion series Falling Skies, which just ended its second season on TNT this past Sunday (and will be back for a third season next summer).

Drew was born and raised in Clanton, Alabama; but he later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He got his start in a few independent film projects from 2006 to 2008 as well as a small (albeit uncredited) recurring role in the ABC Family drama Greek.

In 2009, he got a role on the popular, kid-friendly Disney series iCarly, which led him to landing a role on the Miley Cyrus-led Disney series Hannah Montana, playing her love interest Jesse. He also had a small recurring role on the ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights.

The following year he appeared in two small independent films (one of which starred Revenge co-star Christa B. Allen) but then landed his first plum role in the Diane Lane-led box office film Secretariat.

Drew has really come a long way in six years, holding his own alongside ER alum Noah Wyle, well-known film actor Will Patton and some really creepy CGI-enhanced creatures known as Skitters on Falling Skies.

You can learn more about Drew Roy and Falling Skies at the show’s official website here and you can follow him on Twitter.
