MYTHBUSTERS: Risky Myths Coming Up This Season

On Saturday of Comic Con, we stayed at the convention center late to watch the Mythbusters panel. We sat by a boy who had bumped into Adam Savage twice during the week! We were able to scoot up a couple rows, but not much. They were telling the crowd to fill in all the seats and get as packed as possible, so more people could see the panel.

The room was literally packed in. I can only imagine what the line outside must have looked like. There was definitely plenty of cheering when the cast was introduced on stage. I was cheering, but at one point wished I had ear plugs.

All I will say about the upcoming season is that there will be some fun, risky, new myths. I heard something about Jamie, Danger, and Water, which didn’t make a lot of sense but the audience seemed interested in it all.

During the Q & A a man asked Adam to wish his sister well into the camera (he explained that his sister was a fan of his and was sick in the hospital). Adam not only wished her well, but he picked up his name card and put his autograph on it. He gave it to a guard so he could give it to the boy, but Grant stopped him and signed his name. While the whole cast signed their names on the card, the crowd was nonstop cheering louder than ever. I was sure the man was crying for joy, but do men do that? Anyway, it was sweet, and it was definitely my favorite part of the panel.

Mythbusters has a special episode about sharks airing August 13, then regular episodes start again on October 7 on The Discovery Channel.
