Another Friday Night Lights Alum to Recur on PARENTHOOD

By  |

Another alumni of the critically acclaimed drama Friday Night Lights will be appearing on Parenthood.

According to TV Line, actor Matt Lauria, who played Luke on the latter seasons of the NBC/DirecTV drama, will have a major recurring role, playing a returning soldier from Afghanistan who bonds with fellow war vet Zeek (series regular Craig T. Nelson).

Lauria isn’t the first Friday Night Lights alum to appear on the show – thanks to executive producer and showrunner Jason Katims (who oversaw Friday Night Lights in case you weren’t aware of that fact). Minka Kelly, Michael B. Jordan, Derek Phillips, Angela Rawna and Jeff Rosick have also appeared on the drama.

Parenthood will be back for a fourth season on NBC this fall. The planned season premiere is set for September 11.
