DALLAS: No Good Deed
Holy Dallas Drama! What a show! We start with John Ross in a holding cell telling Elena about his meeting with Fake Marta. The police officer came in and gave him the chance to say anything else that could help him, but he didn’t and she arrested him for the murder of Veronica Martinez aka Fake Marta.
Sue Ellen came to visit her son in his orange jumpsuit and told him that she hired the best lawyer in the country to represent him. He admitted to his mother that he had an affair with Fake Marta and she got out of control. Sue Ellen knows he is holding something back, but John Ross doesn’t want to involve her with the investors. She wants to contact JR, but John Ross insists that it is his mess to clean up.
Rebecca and Chris are talking about their future and Chris promises to be the best father he can be. She wants to be together under one roof, and he can’t get past her mistakes. He is truly angry with her and he doesn’t know if he will ever get past it.
Bobby and Ann find out about John Ross’ arrest from a cop friend of theirs. Chris doesn’t seem too surprised. Elena stops by and is worried about John Ross, but Chris tells her it is his own fault. He said “If you play with snakes long enough, you’re going to get bit!” (Isn’t that the truth?)
Chris stops the Sherriff and asks for a background check on Rebecca. The Sherriff said he will do it without a problem.
Vicente stops by to visit John Ross. He asks Vicente where the camera was with the footage that proves him innocent, and pretends he doesn’t know what John Ross is referring to. John Ross says he will come clean to the cops about his men and Vicente threatens him and his whole family. He then said the footage on the video can be edited and would be damaging to his case. John Ross better watch it, we all saw what happened to Fake Marta.
Ann and Rebecca are talking when Tommy stopped by unexpectedly. Rebecca thought she was clear when she said she wanted him gone, but he said it isn’t easy for him to start over. Ann tells him she knows someone in Oklahoma that would give him a job on a ranch. He says he will pack his stuff and leave for good, because that could be the fresh start he needs (although I know he is still up to something).
Vicente stops by Southfork to discuss business with Bobby. He catches Bobby up on the situation and says if he doesn’t get the oil he was promised, he will call in the loan and take ownership of Southfork. Bobby lets him know that he owns the mineral rights and he will never get a drop of oil from Southfork. Vicente is not happy.
Two guys come up to John Ross in jail with a message from Vicente. One guy said “Vicente doesn’t like liars” and they started fighting him. John Ross fought back but two against one is never a fair fight. Needless to say, he got the crap beat out of him. Then they said if his uncle doesn’t give up the oil, they will kill him next time. Yikes!
Bobby, Chris and his lawyer are discussing ways to get out of the contract with Vicente when Ann interrupts them. She tells them about John Ross and they rush off to the hospital. He is badly beaten and Bobby knows this was a message from Vicente. He wants to make sure they let him out on bail and not put him back in the prison.
Chris is sitting at John Ross’ bed when he wakes up. Chris told him no matter how angry he is he didn’t deserve this. John Ross told him it was Vicente’s men who did this to him and about their threat to kill him if they don’t get their oil. He told Chris about the video with fake Marta that would prove him innocent, and that Vicente’s men took it and are threatening to use it against him. For the first time we see that John Ross regrets getting involved with these thugs.
JR is having a drink and enjoying life when his informant calls and tells him the bad news about John Ross. He goes to visit John Ross in the hospital but John Ross never sees him.
Bobby goes to visit his mother’s grave. He has tried to keep her legacy, but he knows he has to do whatever it takes to protect the family, just like she would. Bobby breaks it to the family that until they can prove fraud, they will have to start drilling oil to help John Ross. Chris says he won’t let him do that and he has a way to help John Ross without drilling. He will make them an offer they can’t refuse.
Sue Ellen goes to the medical examiner and says that his report needs to confirm that Marta’s death was a suicide. She then told him she would be the next Governor and she could give him a job, and warned him that she knew he has been writing a lot of prescriptions, which is odd because his patients are dead.
Chris meets with Vicente and explains his alternate energy plan. He offers him exclusive South American rights to the company. Vicente is interested but wants to talk to his partners. Chris makes one more request, for the footage proving John Ross is innocent in the murder of fake Marta.
John Ross is in the hospital with Sue Ellen when they find out that the charges against John Ross have been dropped. The camera was found on the roof and it proved she was alive when he left. Sue Ellen brings John Ross to Southfork and Elena is relieved to see him. Chris and Bobby come out to see him and Bobby tells him he realized they are not so different. They both want to make their father’s proud and then they shook hands and John Ross thanked him (Wow! I wonder how long they will play nice).
Sue Ellen talked to Ann and told her she should have told her what Chris was up to. She admitted to Ann that she bribed a medical examiner and someone got away with murder.
Chris found out that Rebecca’s background check was clean. He told her he wanted to forget everything and move on but didn’t know if he could. He left and while she was looking over the background check Tommy came back. He tells her that Exxon came to visit Chris and his company could be worth billions. He already has a buyer lined up and he is not going to stop going after Chris. Then he kissed her! GASP! He said “Now are you still so deep in this lie that you believe we are brother and sister?” Then he told her if she doesn’t steal the technology, he will tell Chris everything!
Wow! I did not see that coming! Rebecca and Tommy are not related? Shocker! What did you think of this episode? How long do you think John Ross and Chris will play nice? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. Only 2 more episodes left of the season! Check back with us next week!
