BREAKING NEWS: Jennifer Jason Leigh to Play Emily’s Mom on REVENGE

Ever since the season finale of the dishy new soap Revenge aired this past May, revealing that the mother Emily Thorne (aka Amanda Clarke) [portrayed by Emily VanCamp] is still alive, TV fans have been clamoring to know which actress would be cast to pay mommy dearest.

Well, wait no longer, as the folks over at E! Online made the announcement that actress Jennifer Jason Leigh will be stepping into the role of Momma Clarke (sans Momma Thorne).

Jennifer is probably best know for her role in the classic 80’s film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but her resume includes the box office films Single White Female, Dolores Claiborne, Road to Perdition and The Machinist. Most recently she has appeared in episodes of the Showtime series Weeds.

Revenge will return to ABC for its second season this fall, moving to Sunday nights at 9/8c.
