NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: James Van Der Beek

I’m thoroughly enjoying the new ABC sitcom, Don’t Trust the B— in Apartment 23, and I think a large part of the credit must go to James Van Der Beek. His is a household name especially for [easyazon-link asin=”B005CGI3ZG”]Dawson’s Creek[/easyazon-link] fans. I have never seen one episode of Dawson’s and I

probably never will, but I love the way James makes fun of himself in his new show. There’s nothing more fun and real than seeing a hot guy (or gal, for that matter) in a comedy situation. I had no choice but to crown James Van Der Beek our new Nice Boy of the Week.

Though “Dawson” put James on the entertainment map, it was the sport/drama film, [easyazon-link asin=”B00000J11Y”]Varsity Blues[/easyazon-link], that actually earned him some serious recognition. Also, his JamesVanDerMemes.com site earned him the NewNowNext Award in 2011. If you haven’t been over there, you must check out his memes. They’re hilarious!

James has been spotted on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Franklin & Bash, Criminal Minds, Medium, and he faces off against Ke$ha in her music video for Blow.

I’ve never met James or interviewed him via phone but I hope to someday. I have a feeling all I would need to do is throw a handful of questions at him and just let him loose.  Meanwhile, I’ll follow him on Twitter and catch him on Apartment 23, and anywhere else I might find him. He is, after all, such a Nice Boy.
