Nice Boy of the Week: Santiago Cabrera

I’m so excited to introduce you to this week’s Nice Boy. He is currently starring in one of my favorite BBC television series’, Merlin, which will air on Syfy beginning January 6, 2012, and is now showing in the UK. Santiago Cabrera plays Lancelot, the loyal and brave knight who once coveted Gwynevere’s heart.

Cabrera appeared on our radars with his role on the NBC series Heroes, playing the artist who drew the future, Isaac Mendez. After his character was killed off the show, Cabrera narrated the documentary, Heroes Unmasked, before landing the part of Lancelot. You’ve also spotted him in Love and Other Disasters with the late Brittany Murphy and Matthew Rhys, Spooks and other British television shows. Cabrera also plays Jimmy in the pilot episode of the mid-season Fox series, Alcatraz. He is current;y filming the upcoming HBO film, Hemingway & Gellhorn, a film about Ernest Hemingway and his wife, Martha Gellhorn.

Cabrera was born in Venezuela but grew up in London, Toronto, Romania and Madrid. He started out as an athlete but was encouraged to turn to acting in his high school days. A choice that was well made, because we love adding him to our Nice Boys roster.
