PSYCH: Season 6 Returns with One of the Best Episodes Yet

Psych returns to USA Network tonight at 10/9c with one of the series’ strongest episodes ever. Tight writing, just the right amount of shenanigans, and a certain lie detector scene all come together to prove that Psych is far from being out of gas.

“Shawn Rescues Darth Vader” sees Shawn taking a freelance assignment to rescue a collectible for a kid from a diplomat’s house. While in pursuit of the toy…excuse me, collectible, Shawn discovers a murdered woman and the SBPD get involved. Malcolm McDowell guest stars as the diplomat who is quite taken with Shawn and his psychic abilities, but no so much his British accent. McDowell ranks up there with Cary Elwes on the scale of great guest stars; I hope he returns. Meanwhile, Lassiter is determined to make Juliet and/or Shawn admit that they’re dating and employs a lie detector to prove it. In the course of his investigation, two very important statements are made.
