Up All Night – NBC 8/7c
“New Car” – Reagan and Chris look for a family car that’s not too boring, and Chris goes into negotiating mode. Elsewhere, Ava wants to cover more serious topics on her show but isn’t happy about the work that goes into doing it.
Suburgatory – ABC 8:30/7:30c
“Pilot” – Tessa (Jane Levy) and George (Jeremy Sisto) have been on their own ever since Tessa’s mom pulled a “Kramer vs. Kramer.” So far George has done a pretty good job of raising Tessa without a maternal figure in their lives, but suddenly he’s feeling a little out of his league, especially after he finds a pack of condoms in her room. So it’s goodbye New York City and hello suburbs. At first Tessa is horrified by the big-haired, fake-boobed mothers and their sugar-free, Red Bull-chugging kids. But little by little, she and her dad begin to find a way to survive on the clean streets of the ‘burbs. Sure, the neighbors might smother you with love while their kids stare daggers at your back, but underneath all that plastic and caffeine, they’re really not half bad. Being in the ‘burbs can be hell, but it also may just bring Tessa and George closer than they’ve ever been.
Modern Family – ABC 9/8c
“Phil on a Wire” – The growing bond between man, Jay, and dog, Stella, is grating on Gloria’s nerves; Phil and Luke embark on a new adventure involving a tightrope, but it’s Claire with the missteps, as she tries to teach the girls a life lesson; and Cameron chooses the most inopportune time to start a juice fast.
Happy Endings – ABC 9:30/8:30c
“Blax, Snack, Home” – Penny buys her first home, an “amah-zing” condo complete with a wine fridge and Italian marble. But will the new digs really signal “the year of Penny” and turn her life around? And, on the year anniversary of their almost-marriage, Jane encourages Alex and Dave to finally be honest with each other — not the best of ideas.
Revenge – ABC 10/9c
“Trust” – Emily sets her sights on her next target, Bill Harmon, a wealthy hedge funds manager and trusted family friend who testified in the trial that wrongfully convicted her father. She uses her connection with Nolan to her benefit, unbeknownst to him, and also manages to go on her very first date with Daniel. Meanwhile, Victoria’s suspicions about Emily grow and she starts digging to find out a little more about this new arrival to the Hamptons. And the situation over at the Stowaway Tavern gets even more dire for the Porter men.
