Jeri Ryan takes a break from Body of Proof to guest star on Monday’s episode of Warehouse 13, and as she told reporters, she had a blast filming with Eddie McClintock in a role that surprises Pete’s colleagues.

Jeri revealed that her character, Amanda, is in fact Pete’s ex-wife. Her appearance shocks everyone at the warehouse, as we can well imagine. Amanda is getting remarried, but she seeks out Pete for his assistance in a thorny matter.

“She needs Pete’s help to solve a problem that he kind of caused to start with,” Jeri says. The problem involves an artifact, although Jeri wouldn’t reveal exactly what it is, that threatens to derail the wedding. Pete to the rescue! Jeri is delighted to have worked with Eddie who she discovered was absolutely hilarious.

“Eddie and I had a ball working together especially. He’s just so much fun in real life,” Jeri chuckles. “He was a pleasant surprise!” Amanda is a Marine, Pete’s former profession, so we can assume that the pair met while in the service together. Jeri didn’t reveal what split them up, but did note that she and Eddie had a couple of poignant scenes to film as Amanda and Pete reconnect.

Amanda has the potential to reappear on the show – “They left a door open” – but the busy actress has no plans to return right now. Jeri is currently filming the second season of Body of Proof with Dana Delany, a role that lets her geek out over science, another passion of hers. “Not science-fiction, although I do like that. My secret passion is science, so being on Body of Proof lets me indulge in both acting and science!”
