Nice Boy of the Week: Jim Parrack

By  |

The latest addition to our rather lengthy list of Nice Boys is True Blood actor, Jim Parrack. The tall Texan is well known for his role as Hoyt Fortenberry on the HBO hit series. Parrack moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to study acting at The Stella Adler Academy. From there he attended Playhouse West to hone his skills on the recommendation of friend and fellow actor, James Franco. It was there that Parrack also met his wife, Ciera. The two were married in 2008.

Jim has a passion for American theater and says that working on stage is “totally fulfilling as an actor.” In the past several years, Jim has performed in more than 20 plays, although he rushes to clarify that most of them were one-act plays or performed in the school’s “little theaters”, not on Broadway.

Jim’s television credits include Supernatural, Criminal Minds, ER, Monk, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI and NCIS. Additionally, Jim was seen in the 2006 Annapolis, and more recently in the sci-fi war film, Battle: Los Angeles, playing Lance Corporal Peter Kerns.

You can catch Jim Parrack every Sunday night on HBO’s True Blood and follow him on Facebook.
