COMMUNITY: Are Jeff and Britta Secret Lovers?

NBC just released the synopsis for Community‘s April 21st episode, titled “Paradigms of Human Memory”, and buried in the description of this episode is a shocking reveal:

AS THE SCHOOL YEAR DRAWS TO A CLOSE THE STUDY GROUP REFLECTS ON THEIR FAVORITE MEMORIES FROM THE PAST YEAR IN NEVER BEFORE SEEN FLASHBACKS – As the study group gathers to assemble their 20th and final Anthropology diorama of the year, they begin reminiscing about their favorite times together – including a trip they made to a western ghost town, a last minute glee club performance, the clandestine trysts that Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) have pulled off and the cornucopia of costumes that Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) has managed to wear over the year. Meanwhile, Troy’s (Donald Glover) pet monkey returns, only to disappear back into the school’s ventilation system. On the case, Senor Chang (Ken Jeong) quickly dives in to retrieve the monkey – along with all the loot he has stolen.
Chevy Chase, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown and Danny Pudi also star.

Twenty dioramas for Anthropology? Awesome. Trip to a Western ghost town? Cool. Glee club performance? Fun. Dean Pelton in costume? Scary. Jeff and Britta hooking up? Ni…wait a minute! Have they been a secret couple this whole time? Is that why Annie can’t get anywhere with Jeff? What about Britta’s date with the war criminal? WHAT IS GOING ON?!? If it’s true that they’ve been sneaking around, that would rank up there with Abed delivering a baby in the background. I love this show.

All that plus the return of Troy’s monkey on Community, Thursday, April 21 at 8/7c on NBC.
