America Ferrera Joins THE GOOD WIFE For February Sweeps

Ugly Betty star America Ferrera is back on the small screen but this time she’s taking on the world of politics in The Good Wife. CBS announced today that the former Betty Suarez will have a recurring role in at least three episodes this February as a grad student who catches the eye of Eli Gold (Alan Cumming).

This is a good move for Ferrera. She’ll be back in the spotlight on a show that critics and audiences love, playing opposite a character critics and audiences love. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if CBS announces in March that she’s headlining a pilot for the network’s 2011-2012 season. Welcome back, Betty!
