Eureka season 4 reboots the seriesAfter traveling back in time to 1947 during the season premiere of Eureka and dealing with all the ramifications when they were able to return to their own timeline – albeit a timeline in a Eureka universe very much like their own yet not quite the right one – Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson), Allison Blake (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), Jo Lupo (Erica Cerra), Henry Deacon (Joe Morton) and Douglas Fargo (Neil Grayston) along with an unexpected tag-along from 1947 in the form of Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis) may just get the surprise of a lifetime in the summer finale of the series.

While full details of the final episode of the summer season have not been revealed, the trailers for the finale certainly make the case that Dr. Grant, with the help of former nemesis Beverly Barlowe (Debrah Farentino), will return to 1947, and the events that play out upon his return may not go the way the viewers or the inhabitants of Eureka wish. But this is Eureka, a show that has proven repeatedly that anything is possible and anything can happen.

Strap yourselves in for one hell of a time-travel ride. Eureka’s summer finale airs Friday, September 10 at 9/8c on Syfy.
